    i just thought id say what an excellent service i got from deben i sent my hawke scope away as the front lens had came loose from me pulling out gasket by mistake and therefore it loosing nitrogen and fogging up and the frot lense rattling about so i contacted them through hawke website and they said send it in to us and they sorted it all free of charge changed lense and refilled with nitrogen and parralaxed i was expecting its you fault go and run n jump mate but good to see soem good services out there

    i ued to shoot with somebody who owned a lightning xl and they are really twangy he stripped it down and it was dry as a bone inside and quite shabby engineering inside so he just gave it a full strip down polish and regrease and it is a lot better still got a twang but no to bad i not to sure but have been told that they have been getting made in spain for a while now so that could be reason for standards dropping , i jst had my lightning mk1 tuned and it very smooth and no twang just a solid thud i had it stripped polished new piston seal,breechseal,spring,guide,tophat and weight it still ai

    hi mate just look for gaps under it that are well worn and look at runs running to it and place snares there taking into consideration were the rabbits head is goin to be when getting under fence also set in runs etc leading to gaps but please make sure there are no dog walkers etc as they will either pick them up and bin them or take them and make some story about there dog getting caught etc and you wont have a leg to stand on mate , i have some permission and it near public and have snared it a couple of times with great sucess but you cant leave them about long cos of ppl so i just work ro

    i am thinking about getting a few traps but will be wanting to use them for quite a range including rats, squizzers,rabbits,mink i have looked about but am unsure on weatehr to but body grips or fenn mk6 any body used both and what do they reccomend for my quarry as i know there is a big difference in size cheers kev

    attach one end of the snare to a fence or something and hold the other end tight and rub a stick up and down the full snare and it goes really staright and smooth then thread back through eye and re tension the snare ready for next time i do this after all my outings and leave the like this hung uo in shed

    excellent program only thing i would like to know is does a pcp giving out 12ftlb and a springer giving out 12ftlb make any difference to the pellet etc , kev

    oh no i just bought some today for when i get gun back there a few patches were i rubbed blueing off is there anyother way of re blueing it as it approx £100 to get full gun re done

    have to agree the new lightnings are so flimsey and are really twangy and for the price or a bsa xl you may as well get a ultra for £270

    if you turn gun over and look at the trigger there will be a tiny hole with a grub screw in it which can be adjusted to make the second stage closer or furhter away you should of got the alen key when you bought gun if not shouldnt be to hard to get one but it is very small let us know how you get on

    what do you mean by more solid shot mate is it under power or do you mean the trigger is light kev

    they proper hard as nails you seen the size of the teeth on em ive shot them at 35 yards with shotgun and they still hold on and when land they still try bite lumps out of ya i gunna start using dynamite for the little feckers and blow em to pieces

    i have a bsa lightning mk 1 in .22 with hawke 3x9-50 nite eye illuminated recticle , great gun nice and smooth very quite for a springer please pm for pics and ill email to u £150
