  1. would of had a look out with ya mate but i dnt drive i am after someody showing me the ropes of running dogs i have loads of permission but i only shoot at the minute but would be more than happy to help work dogs etc atb kev

  3. i went for a walk round tonight and came accross the game keeper walking the oposite side of the river so i went across and spoke to him about the pheasants and he said for me just to leave them be for a couple of months and wht is left after the season i free to get but i bet my bottom dollar there gunna be some wise birds by then, he said they been out since 1st week in oct and there approx 1500 birds let out in this area and they only expect to take 800 birds so that must leave a few birds obv foxes etc to take there share but they can always be sorted out , cheers for the info lads and i h
  4. i have a piece of land only maybe about 3 acres out the back of a friemds house with 2 horses in and a few big oaks in bottom of it and on a night they must be atleast 500 pheasants roosting he says as long as i sort him out with a few i am ok to shoot them there is a river in between the farmers land and they cross the river on a night and the other side of the river there must be thousands of them but obv that not my land so they safe
  5. they are flying about and not runners look really big and i 'found' one the other evening and it is about the same size as a medium chicken when plucked , i was just wanting to know if it legal to shoot them while roosting as if so i think i am goin to need a truck and prob a bullet proof vest from neighbour game keeper
  6. i am just wanting to know if shoting pheasants with an air rilfe is legal as there is thousands on my permission as the neighbour farm has just released them about a week ago and i am assuming on my land all ok to go cheers kev

  10. lol ....could be worse i suppose could get a daft sa80 and run around a field putting make up on shooting at each other cos there no other force that would take you or you could go join a senior service like the navy and sit nice and comfy looking at screen of who u would like to take out rather than chasing them about with make up on getting shot at no love loss and i have a lot of respect for all lads n lasses in forces
  11. i was in navy 5 years left as officer was 4 years in a row forces ABA boxing champion beat the best of army and raf beat the army at the field gun competition the only thing the army have over the navy is the rugby and that cos its half of tonga and fiji , got loads of mates in army they all no the banter and dnt take things to serious but end of day it gets dark !!

  13. oh well glad the experts have cleared that up i was thinking more of a pressure thing with it being due rain as it rained like mad from about 11pm til 3 am so they expecting it pissing down from air pressure or i could just be i smell :sick: atb kev
  14. just got back in has been the best night no moon at all showing nice wind stopped raining at 4 so been out for good 4 hours done full golf course and about a mile of fields and seen 2 rabbits about 100yds away and a badger mooching about thats it . during the day its bouncing everywere and the golfers have to practically move the things any thoughts on why they have all fooked off for the night cheers kev

  19. i have just got back into shooting again after giving it up for a while since having a daughter and sold up etc so i managed to pick up a 22 bsa liightning , with 3-9x50 hawke nite eye ir , tuned up and in mint condition have set up sights etc in back garden and am hitting 1" square at 35yds with accupels and 45yds on pod in a 1.5" so been itching to get out the last couple of days but have had swine flu and been off work so had to give it a miss so took gun apart and to my suprise it was in excellent condition as i think the lad i got gun off had give it a good service for me (there is som

  21. hi the dimensions are 126cm tall x 32cm wide by 22cm front to back it was used to house 3 shotguns a .17hmr with scope and a 22lr with scope and they all fitted fine
