  1. Patience glassdropper! Wait for the 98 if thats what you wanted in the first place, your 100 wil cover all your shooting needs til it arrives.
  2. That curry's vital darryl mate! Curry for afternoon tea, steak for supper. Job done! And yes please to the kind offer mate, I'll return the favour in the curry kitchen if you want?
  3. Steaks are for saturday nige, put yer name on the list mate!
  4. Can all the lads who want breakfasts and steaks please put their names down on here so's o can order the steaks and work out how much cooking gear I need to bring. Breakfasts, available on sat and sun will consist of double bacon and sausage, scrambled eggs, beans and toms and bread and butter although I may have sorted a toaster too and will cost 3 quid with all profits going to the charity. Steaks can be as big or small as you like, simply tell me how much you want to pay for one and I'll order it. I can order up to the size of 1 kilo from my butcher if you think youre man enough!
  5. Personally I think the old 80's are generally a better buy, if you look around you'll be able to pick one up for 150 upwards which to me is a bargain, you get a lot of gun for the price of something far inferior.
  6. The Falcon lighthunter(the clue's in the name!) And fn12 are both nice compact and fast handling guns, as well as being very accurate.
  7. Is it your birthday then rog?! Happy birthday mate :-D
  8. They've stopped making the sr12 now mate, and at 250 notes plus, the sr pro is an expensive scope (although very good, it has to be said) if your budget doesn't stretch that far the panorama range with the half mil dot reticle is definitely worth checking out. I've recently had to replace my old sr12 and am using the 4-12x40 panorama with great results on my pro sport and , both in .22.
  9. Don't worry about the weight mate, the heavier a springer, the better it'll shoot. Chuck a sling on if youre gonna be lugging it about all day. My 4Q weighs 14lbs with a scope on, and I can mooch about all day with it. And I've got proper noodle arms!
  10. I'll take anyone on with kneelers at whatever distance you like simon, scared of NOWT me!
  11. Yep, after seeing our scores at the weekend they must be running for the hills... NOT!
  12. It was a proper tricky course again there, both of them, so I'm quite pleased that I got 34 and 36 since I was stuck doing kneelers throughout with my .22 springer to be honest. Since I can't shoot competitively I just come along to enjoy the day with pals and to tuck into free food lol there was plenty of both there so I thought it was a cracking day. Nice to meet some new faces and bump into the usual suspects too.
  13. It's the titan version of the falcon fn19 isn't it? Saw one in my local gunshop for 295 recently, and seriously thought about getting it myself. I've recently bought a falcon fn19 and it's an excellent little rifle, very accurate indeed. The titans,i believe, were supposed to be even better.
  14. It ain't normally rob, but there was something about that one mate, I felt like it fitted a treat when I had a go on it at riverton, I thought it was a cracking little rifle, to the extent that I'm kinda looking out for a 97k action and 77 stock so I can do a .22 version. That is, unless a pro elite doesn't come up first!
  15. And unfortunately, not to me....
  16. without a photo, or knowing which model it is mate, its a bit difficult to help!! they do tend to hold their value, but i've only ever seen them going for around the 2-300 mark.
  17. I found the one I tried to be ok, in that it wasn't quite as accurate as my pro sport, the trigger was kind of spongy rather than crisp, and the rifle's finish was rubbish, varnished beach stock and machine marks all the way up the action, which was covered in the most rubbish blueing this side of an smk. About the only thing that was spot on was the weight imo. I could have lived with all of the above if the lgv wasn't around 500 notes, all it's rivals are cheaper and better.
  18. How come you don't like the lgv mate? I really wanted to like one but felt massively let down with the one I tried. The hw98 p!$$$ all over it I reckon.
  19. Not loads! Think it's about 40-50 from a 180 bar fill.
  20. My mate has one, loves it. Very accurate, quite simple inside, very light. I have an fn19 sporter just having a service and prior to the work shot very well (considering it cost me 150 notes!). The fn12 is kind of the ultra of it's day, light, compact and perfect for hide shooting or from a motor. My mates using bisley mags in his, and it's earning it's keep nicely, pellet on pellet at 35yds so it's capable of going out to 50 yds easily I reckon. Good guns, very underrated in my book. Chas (lighthunter) has a falcon he uses to devastating effect.
  21. I used a SR12 6-18x44 on the pro sport from buying it 2 years ago, til I leaned the rifle against the car absentmindedly and it slipped and landed on the scope. Didn't hold zero after, funnily enough... I've swapped it for a panorama which seems fine, but it's early days yet. Incidentally, I put a map 6 4-12x50 on an evolution gas ram I had and it killed it within a week. Shame, because hawke seem to really put some thought in their reticle design, but not enough in their durability.
  22. Thursodog is probably the man to see on here as regards buttoning pistons mate, it can be an awkward process if you don't know what youre doing, and to be honest I can't it being much better than making a piston liner from a pop bottleif the pistons not a great fit?
  23. Proper caliber springer then lol looks nice mac, much better option than a sterile shooting 100 any day
