Never read EDRD and can count on my hands how many Countrymans weekly I have bought.. I got one of his books off a lad on Moochers and then googled him.. He talks some sense and definately is the genuine mccoy. You will like his stuff mate. The blog just a taster - the books are spot on.. Don't know of he is on here or not

    Thing I like about the lamp, it allows a dog to make a few mistakes on a run.. Bolted rabbits can be hard.. I read a Paul Dooley blog the other day.. It was about training a dog, not to mouth rabbits in the nets.. It Was very interesting and made me think where i had been going wrong

    I have started mine on the lamp and ferreting close 2nd.. I personally am not at my best when out ferreting.. I find it hard work and prefer the lamp.. I am not much of a ferreter at heart. but do my share in the winter. If your ferreting I would go for open sets.. This time of year be prepared to dig - crawl around in nettles If you go for the ferreting, take a pal to do most of the graft. That will enable you to concentrate on the dog more..     I agree with you Dare.. I have a uncle thats spent most of his life in and out of Carstairs in Scotland.. probably more time in TBH. He is f****d with medication to the point he is retarded and would appear to most as a learning disability.. No teeth,legs with chronic tremors,looks vacant and smokes like a chimney.. He had an acquired brain injury and was diagnosed with schizophrenia in his mid twenties.. Bronson was not psychotic and likely has antisocial personality disorder..     Just don't pack it on in the first place.. What do you do mate eat a load of cheese burgers and start jogging ?? Nutrition is important and giving quality feed, when conditioning and working a dog.. Each to there own but my training regime, does not require firing weight on and then working it off.. Feeding right and conditioning is what develops and builds muscle.. Sorry for hijacking your thread Lewis.. Be nice to see how he is after the xmas..

    fair enough you feed the dog up and then do the exercise in order to burn the body fat to see the muscle definition You dont have to pack on fat ,then to drop it, to see definition.. Dogs looking well Lewis
