  1. Ive had nice soft mouthed retrievers, in the past. Now I’ve the worm has turned lol. I enjoy the dog working and the meats a by-product for me these days. To compare to stock worrying is a bit over the top, in my opinion. The thing with a hard mouth, it can’t be trained out of a dog. With stocks worrying, you’ve a decent chance of curing it, one way or another. My pal had a great dog. Killed every rabbit stone dead, had knack of crunching the heads, the meat was perfect. I could see some don’t want bruised meat. I don’t mind. Give me the best dog with a first time strike, stamina

  5. AT I get where your coming from.. I have myself not been intirely happy with the CA and in fact have felt pretty let down. This is something that both clubs have raised and hopefully now with some joint working we can resolve.. For some it may take some time to warm up to the CA. Hopefully the prove will be in the pudding. . I believe the CA will come through on this. As for the differences, be it political or personal, between the two lurcher clubs, we will just have to draw a line in the sand. I think on this thread, there has be some good thought provoking que
  6. Looks great. How much woukd a set up like that cost ??
  7. That's for the politicians.. We can work towards lobbying them, gaining better public awareness & protecting lurcher work. The ban was brought in .. It can be over turned .. If that's not going to happen we need to make a strong case for these amendments. The AWL will work towards this. We won't just roll up to game fairs and sit in a tent.. We will be getting about .. Networking with the right people.
  8. Great post dodge.. We will have further updates the begging on next week.. Check out the facebook and the website. . Websites still needing a lot more work. It's in hand though..
  9. With due respect DD we are moving along and gathering momentum & some very keen intrest. We have had lots of very kind & generous offers of physical & financial help. Nobody is here to blow trumpets or posture like a peacock.. We are here to give the lurcher owners, the representation people asked for.
  10. We don't plan to emulate the past mate.. Before we lead a charge,we'll make sure we have a strong force behind us.. This is just a starting point.. Things with media productions are being weighed up and discussed. . Thank you for your input..

  14. I sold a 2007 Astra with 89k for 2400 was cheap for condition and milage. Was 1.3 turbo diesel. You'll get higher milage ones for 2k some folk rate 1.7 engine better.. Get some cheaper 05/06 transit connects. Gumtree has plenty cheap moters it's mind feild though lol . I has Ford ka van that was good bit too small though.

  16. I've a fairly new berlingo van have to pay commercial light goods tax. If it was a car it woukd be £35 to tax makes me sick lol
  17. Estate better road tax.. I like a van - easier to keep clean.. I'd go for Astra van on a 2k budget.. You coukd strike lucky and get a 4×4 on that money but their in that stage of life of needing stuff, unless someone fettled it..
  18. No need to apologise mate. It's two separate payments.. A lot of folk are emailing and pming regarding wanting to join.. Hang fire with any payments till the Web sites fully functional. https://m.(!64.56:886/CraigMcCannPhotography This lads heading up the media side of things. Give him a like and a share on Facebook. His work is outstanding.. Thanks for the folks that are getting behind this. Thanks for the offers of help and donations towards the club. Id like to think before 2020 we will either be hunting as we were before the ban o
  19. The websites almost complete mate.. Unfortunately the membership fee of £11 annually, is to cover the cost and up keep of the club. By joining the Countryside Alliance members are covered by their insurance. This is not a get out of jail card either. This would cover individuals who were hunting lawfully, on land where they has permission. We've already a crewed some members and I've sent details to several other intrested people. What I've suggested for now is to hang fire with the subs, until the webssites live with a electronic payment option. Not only w
  20. Just for the record Steve, I've far from given up. I stated from the beginning that i did not want to be on any committee. I stuck to what I said. My withdrawal from the steering group is for my personal reasons and in no part due to any lack of commitment to the cause of the promotion of the working lurcher. To state that i've given up is incorrect. If you want to know why i've withdrawn. please pm me and ask rather than assume and refrain from making comments based on assumption and stick to factsSorry, that I misinterpreted your resignation, for you giving up.. Your private life's your p

Oh that old chestnut haha you don't have any do you come on admit it ? Haha atb all-terrain Have you ever played cards mate ?? Things with media & average Joes could go badly wrong if we don't tread carefully.. We are not here to make things up.. If we dont deliver we will look as daft as some think we are.. Give us a bit of time..
