    I thought they returned the application fee if unsuccessful ? ive not rang them up to find out if I have my money back I will Monday

    Your right I should of rang my firearms officer but surly the fee you pay they should do the check then decide on your previous conviction if you are suitable as they do the check anyway I've been told they are more lienant in England don't know if that's true but i know it was my fault but I still think it was over the top to put me through court but it's done now

    Mine was a public order offence 12 years ago and I've only had one speeding and caught on mobile phone since that I'd have excepted if they came back with a no to my application but to have to go to police station for interview then to court then hit with a fine in total after losing day pay pound for the application its over 500 hundred pound there was a guy in court who got caught with load of weed and got 450 pound fine that's [BANNED TEXT] f****d me off if I'm honest

    Well the judge wiped the floor with me and it was a genuine mistake and a very costly one gutted that il not be allowed my licence aswell

    Yea I thought it was harsh if they said you been declined because you didn't declare I'd of said fair enough having to go to court does not seem harsh just to hand me a fine and refuse my application bull shit you ask me

    I'm not wasting money on barristers that's for sure il just say [BANNED TEXT] happen and take [BANNED TEXT] they give I made a mistake and I've payed to apply and losing a day wage plus the fine il probably have that's enough money wasted I think

    I thought that was harsh to be honest the conviction were a long time ago the more serious one that me and my mate were involved in he applied after that and was given his licence it's my fault I know but to be dragged through court I thought was bolloxs considering the crime that goes on around here if I'd been caught with dozen cannabis plants or bags of weed id of had smack on the wrist

    Yea I was interviewed and told them my reason and then had a letter saying to attend court spoke to the fire arms officer and he said id of had no problem if I'd put them convictions in but if I get found guilty il probably get refused

    I didn't mean odd as in I didn't believe you. I meant odd as in someone telling you if they don't know the answer themselves. yea I know it's my fault I know but just wanted to find out if this happen to anybody and the outcome as if found guilty I can probably forget my licence

    I had said two previous conviction for mobile phone which was recent and speeding fine I'd put them down but the one conviction 10 years ago I didn't even go court got dealt in my absence so I'd forgotten completly about that the other was for fighting and my mate who got convicted with me as his licence so I'd have no reason to try to hide that

    My mate said I didn't need to as it was 12 years ago there nothing odd as me rushing it and not reading it I've just spent think it was pound to land myself it court nothing odd just stupid
