  2. well i have 3 male brother polecat ferrets living together that were born on 8th may this year all had been well but they are starting to get more aggressive with each other constantly fighting when they are awake, leaving a lot of cuts on the scruf of their necks. so now i have decided to seperate them and house them individually in their own homes. this is a link to the design i am building for them: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ferreter/housing.htm i have the ferrets as pets but do plan to hunt them very soon. here are a few pics so far, still a little to do: SORRY no pic
  3. i feed mine kibble from jollyes superstore. its called lifestage nutrition and the all seem to like it. i also feed them raw eggs, raw mince, raw chicken breast and lambs liver with an odd rabbit for good measure. i am still looking for somewhere to get the day old chicks tho.

  6. hi all, pretty new to the site here but have been on the lookout for a cheap finder as well but as of yet no luck. now i have just had a, well a crazy thought !!!! what about a metal detector ?? if you put some kind of strong metal on the ferret collar (a metal that would be easily picked up by the detector) would this not act as a cheaper option. more cumbersum but cheaper ?? niall_b73

  8. thanks all for the warm welcome, i have been looking on ebay for the ferret finders (& sweating) they dont half cost a penny, guess i'll have 2 put them on my christmas list. 1 other question/debate i have had on another fourm is about the distemper jabs ?? should i or should i not ?? as of so far i am not convinced about it as the con's outweighed the pro's this is a link to the thread: (mods delete this link if not aloud) http://www.ferretsforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=12757 please let me know what you think and if you get them for your ferrets thanks
  9. hi all, i have just came across the site on the net so am basically sayin hello before having a good ole look around. well i have recently got myself 3 male (all brothers) polecat ferrets born on 8th of may this year and i have them as pets but am lookin to take them hunting for rabbits as well. i had ferrets as pets when i was younger the i never took them hunting (tho i wish i had) but i now want to take full advantage of what i have now, and take my son with me. i have 10 purse nets so far but really i suppose i am looking for the age that i can start bringing them out to hunt ??
