  1. well im expectin a secondhand mk3 terrier finder that im gonna use for the ferrets from ebay any day now. and that has been my plan so far. i'm gonna get the kids to hide it in the house or in the back yard and see if i can find it. should be intresting. let us know how you get on. niall_b73

  3. 90% of the ground I do is exactly like yours, It is dangerous digging as TP has said, My mate held me by the ankles last week when we dug down 9ft and across, and it was a stupid thing to do, It takes nothing for sand to collapse and a whole lot more to get out, and if your down far you havent a hope if your alone - Theres times when your ferret will come out a hole a lot further away than you expected, Because rabbits seemt to dig very wide in that type of ground, Just keep your eyes open all the time and I wouldnt ferret anywhere where you cant see behind, or around, and stick to small set,
  4. this is news i was not wanting to hear. so because the burrows are well established would they not be safe enough ?? is it really that dangerous?
  5. i could not be happier. today i got permission to go ferreting on the land in the pic's there is a whole lot of land with all the rabbits to go with it basically as far as the eye can see is mine. roll on october so i can get my ferrets out niall_b73
  6. sorry the lid is not stainless steel it is aliuminum (excuse spelling) ok so i now have the hutches placed behind my house in an area of constant shade. now that the days are getting shorter and not much heat would it be bad of me to move the hutches to an area of my garden where they can get direct sunlite. not that we have had much sunlite here in ireland. niall_b73

  13. thanks, yeah should be fun potty training them so to speak. as for the roof, i have made it out of stainless steel with a long overhang on the front and the access is threw the roof. the roof/lifts up niall_b73

  16. nearly there, i just have to screw hinges to fix the lid to the hutch and that will be that one finished. this 1 needs a paint job then the lid the pair of them not a bad days work niall_b73
  17. yes...... i just got a deben m3 terrier finder and collar on ebay for £77.50 for my ferrets. god bless ebay i'm well on my way now, i cant wait till they come of age now to get them down the burrows. niall_b73
  18. no matter what i do i cannot get any more pics uploaded. it has been the same tonite and lastnite. i keep getting this message: Sorry, an error occurred.   20. well i have thought of the casteration option altho i wanna wait and see how they hunt and then maybe breed the best later in life (when & if i get a jill). gonna have them standing independently in my back yard.
