    sorry apart from lough erne i would not name any of the smaller loughs, to dodgey, we dont want the parasite's movin in and clearing them out. as for the life jackets, have you seen the layers of blubber on the 3 of us, (sh1t floats)

    well we had a lend of a boat and there was a break in the weather (apart from the fog) so the three of us took advantage and decided to do a days pike fishing 7 pike caught and landed all day i had 1, the others had 3 each. there was not much life out of the fish when reeling them in they vere very lethargic, due to the cold i suppose but good fun all the same. no overly big fish. a few pics, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUa2bAExPWc niall_b73

    well basically i am looking for a good fishfinder. i have up to now been looking at a Garmin Fishfinder 140 ( FF140 ) 50KHz and 200KHz ( http://www.mysatnav.ie/garmin-fishfinder-140 ) & the Garmin Fishfinder 160C ( FF160C ) 50KHz and 200KHz ( http://www.mysatnav.ie/garmin-fishfinder-160c ). while the above are good models they are not overly mobile and seeing as i do not own a boat but rather use different boats in different locations. i can also buy a Garmin Portable Case For 90/140/160C ( http://www.marineparts.ie/electronics/fishfinders/garmin-portable-case-for-90-140-160c.html

    2 right, we have a boat booked for sat so hopefully will have a few good results. i am currently looking for a good fishfinder but my head is wreaked looking for 1. i want a portable 1 but kinda have my mind set on a garmin fishfinder 160c or a garmin 140c, they are not portable but u can lug them about. u got any ideas on a really good portable fishfinder ?? niall_b73

As a summary (with effect from 1st January) - Coarse fish. It is prohibited to kill coarse fish (however, see regulation on pike, below) in the Foyle and Carlingford areas waters. Eels.     i have to say i was in two minds wheather to go or not. i have never been to the southern show but went to the 1 in the kings hall a few years back, nothing much going on at it either. there seemed to be a lot of sh1t for sale at it. i am looking for a quality fishfinder and that was my only reason for going but i think i'll just look online now niall_b73
