    well the 3 of us set out again for a little lake in fermanagh. we started fishing about 11am (after having to go back for the oar locks) and fished untill half 3pm.     the ferrets i have/had have access to kibble 24/7 when ever i took them out i just brought water and gave them a drink when ever i handled them moving from burrow to burrow. if any rabbits were caught they got the head, kidneys, liver ect..... i have to say they did have a taste for lambs heart niall_b73

    congrats gents, i'm glad to see it went well and they bolted a few. if you are looking a 3rd ferret you know where i am. and i kid you not about the 3rd ferret (this is not a sales pitch) the kids called the 3rd ferret that i have left "bully" and for good reason. he was/is the best ferret out of the bunch. he was/is the best bolter, he takes to the burrows with great ease and got the bunnys out the same. he was/is the only 1 out of the 3 that liked the dead rabbit for food rather than the kibble. if interested gimme a shout. it comes as a bundle. 1 ferret 1 hutch 1 doub

    well i will be out looking for that big hen, as a matter of fact i'm heading out on monday to a little lake on a boat so hopefully i'll get her then. i'll keep you all posted. as for fishing for pike on the fly, i would love to give it a go but do not have the equipment. i have a fly rod but it is only a #7 so i doubt if it would be strong enough. niall_b73

    i mostly fish in fermanagh where i originate from but have been living in leitrim on the border with donegal. have fish a few small waters in leitrim but would not be that sure on what would be good waters to fish on tho plan to get out and about more this year niall_b73

    Barometric Pressure / Moon Phase Effect Fish! Fish have very acute senses in relation to the current atmospheric pressure. For pike fishing falling low pressure indicates a good deadbaiting situation. When there is high barometric pressure live baiting will get you the bites.     ok, so before you all start laughing at this just take note and see for your self. i was reading in the magazine "pike & preadators", where some crowd have been noting down moon phases when they have went pike fishing. in their findings they came to the conclusion that at the time of the full moon it was the best time to be catching pike. so there best feeding time is the full moon. i have to say i have started to note the moon phases now myself (just for couriousity) and my best time has been around the same time, the full moon !!!! i no you are probably pissing your sides by n
