    good to see the little men working so well. i was down past your way last weekend and seen there was a big pike fishing competition on on lough key, i think. i have since been pricing hire boats down that way and hope to get out and try some piking and try out these fishfinders. tis a big lake, looks like fun niall_b73

    happy days, today i recieved in the post absolutely free, by way of an apology from humminbird/geonav a http://store.humminbird.com/dyn_prodlist.php?k=307288 i got this becauce i ordered it from a site in the uk who then proceeded to mess me about for over a month. i got my money back from them and then sent a complaint to johnson outdoors/humminbird. they in turn decided to give it to me absolutely free along with a few free items of clothing & badges lol. now all i need is a boat to put them on.... niall_b73

    it is totaly illegal to fish any inland water using a speargun. (plus the water is a wee bit cold at the moment) but i do hope this little baby will help me locate the big ladies when out on a boat. i still have to catch them once they are located niall_b73

    ok so here you are on a hunting site !!! forgive me for asking but what is your sport, then what ever it is, you explain to me how it is not hunting ?? obviously you have been watching to much of the discovery channel, because of any of the fish i have caught on the spear took a little time to spear. 1st. i had to stalk the fish, trying to keep up with it when it trys to get away. 2nd. i have to get within 3 lengths of my speargun to the fish (which is not easy) which is 180cm because that is as far as the spear witll travel 3rd. i have to be able to stay under the water, holding m

    hmmmm... let m see now !! they call it spear fishing & it is a means of hunting/killing fish so yeah it IS fishing as for your commnt "its kind of a slaughtering/whole sale" not true. i choose what fish i am after and what fish i kill. i do NOT go round killing fish indiscriminately. i take what i need. it is no different than shooting a rabbit with an airgun or a pigeon with a double barrell. niall_b73

    aye i fished it regular all of last year, from the round o up past dolans ring up to tamlagh bay. a lot of good pike caught up there. we hope to get back out soon. the lad that hires the boats takes them out for the winter. atb niall_b73

    yeah i got myself one last year, shot a couple of mullet and a few others. there is a salmon river near me that enters the sea but i'd guess i'd be shot if i went anywhere near it with a speargun tho i still do fancy a salmon. who knows i might brave it this year it is amazing how close you can swim with the fish when in the sea. niall_b73
