good question i have thought the same thing. when out in the smaller fields they seem very hard to catch and usually burn rubber off into the next field or hedges etc. are they easier to catch in bigger fields? JPT

Thanks for the replies everyone. My friend is thinking about the possibility of getting a lurcher. He has a wee Jack russel (bitch) type terrier with a dash of bull blood. He also has 2 small children so the dog would have to work round them. Would a 3/4 whippet x 1/4 beddy work if he could get one with a smooth coat? Does this cross through smooth? Cheers again, JPT

What would be the best cross for a smooth coated lurcher about 20" for rabbiting? Anyone got any pics of smooth coated lurchers matching that description I would be greatful if you could show me. Cheers, JPT

Are you people crazy anwsering his boys question??? His profile clearly states that hes from England. Correct me if im wrong but is it not ilegal to desturb a badger whether or not you think a foxs living in the sett? Could he this person be a intruder into are world trying to pump us for damaging information? If not he must think more about what and how he writes things on a web site that anybody can read.... Intresting........... I am working the land with lurcher at night with the lamp. Just after rabbits but thought I would ask and see what you lot thought. Neither of us has a digging dog and we have just been allowed to move the rabbits. Who knows what the future holds......... Cheers, JPT

I have just landed me and my hunting mate some new permision which I have been waiting about a year to get. I asked the sheep farmer in question last year (which was my first season at this hunting game) but I think he wanted to wait and see if me and my mate were serious about hunting before he let us on his land. Anyway what I wanted to know was this; Do fox and Badger live in the same earth? He has farmed his land for 60 years and said they both live in there. I questioned this in my mind but did not say anything but i doubt it but hes known the land all his life and he says its so. What d

Glue em down if you want em to stay down when the dog is older. I dont hurt em except when you pull the ear off the head after a couple of weeks! JPT

I could not agree more about the point made about RESPECT. If a dog does not turn out to be what you hoped then you can't just kill it! FFS thats like looking at your mut as though it is a spade or somthing! What other people do is their own buzniz but it does not mean I have to agree with it. JPT
