    My bro

    Shoots foxes with 17 HMR at about 80 yard max. Head shots. They don't move a muscle. Anything more than 120 yards Than that it be more luck than judgement

     

    Exactly and the last thing we need to be putting out is that we are a bunch of uncaring individuals who lack knowledge on what tool for what job!

    Obviously at a decent range and in the right spot HMR or 22 will take care of fox BUT neither of these are designated Fox calibers and I think this should always be taken into consideration. I think anyone who thinks Rimfire is more than enough to bowl foxes over easily at 100 plus yards are deceiving themselves LOL. Was in a gun shop the other day and some idiot was talking about how many foxes his mate had taken out with his HMR the longest shot being 170 yards, Yeah right!!!

    Bought 2 boxes of Hornadys recently from Litts in newport, in both boxes after I shot about 5 rounds had misfires where the powder was damp. Head of rounds were jammed in the barrel which peed me off more tha anything as it meant nights shooting was over!! Replaced with Federal Premium V Shox, lovely rounds had 15 rabbits in about 16 shots :boogie:

    Just got my ticket back and want to purchase me a new HMR. Was planning on getting a new CZ Style as I loved my old one (Great guns once trigger is sorted) probably cost around 400sh, but a guy I know is selling a Ruger laminate with Stainless barrel, mint nic for the same price. What you guys reckon? Apparently the Ruger has been shortened and had the trigger done. Thanks guys

    RSPH is essential but even more essential is experience of the Job, man many varieties of pests and many many different situations, I would suggest anyone would need at least a minimum of 6 months hands on training as there's so many situations you will find yourself in. I was with a great guy for a few months but once I launched out on my own I found myself in situations which I didn't have a clue what to do LOL. One thing being qualified, it's another being Really qualified LOL

    Gutted to be selling all these, need cash urgent but will be re-buying once I can. (All reduced in price I may split scopes from the 223 and HMR.)

     

    Tikka T3 Super Varmint in great condition, fitted with a T8 Moderator, Stainless optilock mounts and very nice Simmons Aetec IR scope, has a new Harris swivel bipod on it and nice sling and swivels. I have a couple of hundred rounds of ammo with this. I think its a bargain at £850 ono. (Would be interested in splitting this)
