  3. HI all, I presume there has been a topic or two on this on the past but I will give it a shot. I have just finished uni and I am picking up my first lurcher pup in a few weeks can't wait Anyway my uncle has some permission that we frequent but with me getting my new pup I'm obviously keen to get myself and him some more permission. So my question would be has anyone had any experience with preparing something similar to a CV, like a hunting CV if you like and a covering letter to email, post, door knock with ETC. My plan is to write something to hand out that shows that I can be trus

  6. Thanks for your input, thats some good advice The pup she is looking into getting is a pup from a litter my uncle just had, it was a lurcher (more greyhound in her than anything) x to a whippet greyhound, she is very chilled out and laid back. So we know the dam very well and are confident that these pups should be easy going all being well. The option of kennel hasn't been mentioned but I think it could be a good way to go. The original plan if feasible was to keep the pup in the back utility room that has french doors that open into the garden and as I mentioned follow that routin
  7. Hi, I am looking for a little bit of advice for my girlfriend. Herself and her family are considering getting their first lurcher (about time ). The problem they have is their work commitments. Their current situation should it be sensible for them to get the pup is as follows: The last person is gone to work at 8 so the pup would be let out first thing around 6 and then again just before 8. Nobody would be in from 8 until half 12, then from half 12 until 3 somebody will be in. Then from 3 until 6 nobody will be in again. So we was just wondering could a pup be left in the time
  8. Cheers for the replies guys. It was dave sleights dog that sired her. She has turned out a good bitch and we couldn't ask for more from her, thats what it's all about hoped we would find out were she came from exactly but like you say if she does the job thats more than enough! Thanks for the comments ATB
  9. Can't remember when this one was taken. This is the only other photo I have, you can't really see her but somebody may recognise I guess. Anyway appreciate anyone who knows anything, all the best, Jim
  10. Hi everyone, Considering I've been a member for quite sometime but not posted at all this is a pretty random first post. (I'm stuck at university without my dog and don't have anything decent to contribute but theres always a few good reads on here which keep me distracted from doing anything useful thanks ) Anyway my uncle being computer illiterate has asked me to help, it might be a long shot but here goes. He bought his pup a black rough coated bitch when she was 6 months old. The chap he bought it off said her sire was nobbys lad put to a deerhound greyhound bedlington (I believe
