  1. Well i don't have masses of experience with different rifles (i generally buy one and shoot it until it lets me down then go and buy another) but i shoot a BRNO carbine with moderator (bolt action) couple that with cci subsonic hollow point and it is deathly quiet (quieter in fact than my air arms s410 pcp) or for a bit more poke (close range foxes) i use eley wasp high velocity that just give a crack when they go but is only a similar noise level to that of an old spring air rifle such as a weihrauch hw80 or something similar.

Dear all, i enjoy fishing around on this forum and reading what all members have to say and replying to posts etc. However, my one gripe is that there are alot of pictures accompanied by descriptions of how foxes have been 'unzipped' or 'took half his head off'. That's great and i shoot alot of foxes myself and when i inflict that type of damage i am truly satisfied that the animal in question didn't know anything about it's untimely demise. However, seeing pictures posted on here as some sort of trophy shot surely only adds ammo to the anti's armoury. I for one hate the idea of pandering to e

  6. Hi chap Ive been there and done that in the long run its not worth it. You don't get a good return. Sorry i couldn't`t help more. I think the boat has sailed a bit on veg oil too, i used to run my ford ranger on it (25litres oil to 5 litres petrol) i run like that for over 40, 000 miles with no problems but i did full service every 5000 miles. I only used new stuff while it was cheap enough but it's almost as expensive as derv now even from cash and carry etc. I did try filtering old stuff but it is a lot of mess and round here (kent) all the big boys seem to have the waste oil

% ? Where do you get you're figures from? The ladybird guide to rural politics perhaps? This unjust piece of legislation was forced through by an act of parliament not by the British public. The reason that sabs are the only ones out there trying to enforce it only goes to show that the British police are merely treating the act with the contempt that it deserves. Hopefully it will be repealed and we can all sleep easy, we can go about our normal business and the great uneducated and unwashed can curl up in bed with a cup of organic cocoa and read watership down.
  8. They have to have a legitimate reason not to give you a certificate, if they can't fault your security arrangements and you are not a convicted criminal then they have to grant you one. Owning a firearm is a right not a priveledge to be dished out how they see fit. I had major aggro getting my fac even though i'd already had a sgc for 5 years. There was nothing wrong with my application it was just that they took so long to sort it out. 6 months from start to finish, i hope i don't have the same ordeal when i put in for a variation to .243 and open my ticket at renewal time. Good luck.
