  9. well done mate, great bag. i think i might have to get myself in touch with a gamekeeper round here. patterdales seem really good, torn between one of them, or a lurcher. what do you reckon would be better?
  10. Hi, After another topic i recently posted, I have come up with a more specific question. I was wondering what is the youngest age a hob can come into season (assuming they its a last year kit) Also, what is earliest time in the year a hob can come into season (any age) thanks, Adam.
  11. I can't be absolutely sure, because well this is the first year ive kept them, and my first winter. But they've been together from birth, and the hob hadn't been like this up untill a few days ago. And i thought he had already shown his strength, as he is the most dominant ferret (gets first dibs on food and all that) But any and all advice really welcome. Thanks, Adam.
  12. well ive got four ferrets. two hobs and two jills. one of the hobs is snipped, the other is intact. I've had a bit of experience with the hob which is snipped while he was in season, so i know when the other is trying to do the deed. And, the intact hob seems to be trying it on with the jills (his sisters). dragging them around and into the bedbox and all that. His bits don't seem to have come through yet, and the jills aren't ready either. But he seems to be putting the jills through some stress. Should i leave them together, or separate the hob? thanks, Adam.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-O_XXVKPqE watched this review from a link on here once before
  14. oh right lol. and just checked their prices. they're even worse than deben! full on rip-off.
  15. whats the difference between a terrier and a ferret locator? apart from the larger collars? would you not be able to just attach the locating bit onto a smaller collar to fit a ferret? cheers, adam.
  16. ive got four, two hobs, two jills. that does sound a very good idea. but even that would be more than im paying for the ferret food. I pay about £2 a kilo for alpha, and four quids worth lasts me around 2 weeks. although it would be a good idea to feed them on day chicken, next kibble. i think i will invest, cheers
  17. I havn't got the luxury of giving them rabbits yet, due to no ferret finder or permission.. yet. But untill then, what cat food would any of you reccomend? Im feeding them alpha or jwb atm. would like to see the difference. cheers, Adam.
  18. And the highlands??? and Rotherham In Rotherham? Im just outside sheffield and have got transport. Im not experienced in any way, infact i've never been ferreting. Im 15, Got 4 ferrets, and saving for locator and collars. if you need a helping hand i'd love to come and help. And learn in the process. If you want to, or ever need any help. drop us a pm. ATB Adam.
  19. cheers for that! I really need to get some permission as ive got no-where to shoot. that really helped! thanks alot, ATB adam.
