  1. i would say it is still classed as a lurcher, try a electric collar if its chasin He doesn't chase wildlife etc as much as my lurcher and generally comes back. It seems to be wriggly dashy dogs that fires him up- tries to get them by the scruff. has got hold of a couple of small fluffy things and shaken them. Is that Wheaten behaviour or is it a combination of all 3 breeds?
  2. Hi I am a new member :-) I have a 2year old lurcher bitch who, when she recovers from a recent injury, I hope to race. I have also adopted what I thought was a lurcher pup but have been advised he is a bull wheaten lurcher cross out of Ireland. He is now a year old, is huge and strong and shows tendencies to herd and try and bring down, doesn't like other dogs, is stubborn and quite hard work. Can anyone give me advice on the best way to deal with him. I'm aware I have to be dominant etc but am finding him a bit of a struggle Thanks Jenny
