    [bANNED TEXT] got the trigger together and swaped my original stock back on improvised the trigger gaurd with some bemt metal. And got plinking!! After a quick zero i set up a 50yrd range the ram is a blessing 4 mill dots up and 5p at 50yrds. The kick is honestly not sharp like some claim. It us super quiet and it is really consistant. Im not sure but is there a bed in time for rams? Also how can i make the jaws that keep the barrel in position stronger?

    Recieved my gas ram today (thanks to The guru himself Donnyc) looks like a beautiful bit of kit. and is now installed in my supersport now all i have to do is work out how the bloody trigger mechanism goes back together, (the photos i took are no help at all! Anyway a great thanks to Donnyc for excelent service and a top notch product. i will update you on how it performs.

    Sorry donny! I have done loads of research on rams and have never found anything definite. One person will rave about them and next they will rip them to shreds which prompted the temperature question. I chose to ask you all the questions because you handle them a lot and know yourstuff Anyway i have no problem posting the cash. One last thing my friend may want one for his webley stingray is this possible? Sorry for any inconveniance.

    i am wanting to buy a gas ram of donny c but it seems my pms are not getting through!! i am hoping to fit it bed it in and zero it for shooting next weekend. Anyway either my pms arnt getting through or he has given up on my cos my pms are getting annoying. I may have asked one too many questions about gas rams. Anyway donny if you are out there i am genuine and i am really excited about getting the ram. Cheers

    Hi have you had the gun chronoed at your local gun shop. It is to be expected that the pellets drop at that distance i use a bsa supersport springer (soon to be gas rammed) with rws superdomes and they also drop at 50yrds.

    I used a thin steel rod, two bits of wood that stick into the ground then i bent a rectangular bit of silver steel around the steel rod place the wood vertically into the ground (make sure you drill holes into the wood for the rod and there you have a spinning target that resets its self. and you can make them all different sizes.

    Dosser?!?! I think you have mixed up your d with a t! Good shot mate i have little knoledge of rifles only dabblin in air rifles, so in relation to a .22 is the rifle .22-250? Or is the calibre measured in different units? Does anyone have a pic of all the different rounds?

    yep a second hand break barrel or underleaver. Bsa,air arms and hw series are all goo. I have a bsa supersport which has done me very well. you can quite definatly get a decent springer for that price. Do you have a gun shop near by if so go and try them i also find the shops have very good advice also.

    I believe the problem is that this generation of kids parents had airguns as children the air guns they used however had no where near the 12ftlbs power of todays rifles. this being the case the parents believe them to be toys still and dont worry that the power may be different. The amount of times people have been suprised when i say i can hunt with an air rifle at 35yrds is astonishing most believe them only to be useful at 15 or so yards. Teach the importance of air rifles to everyone using adverts etc. A licence would not sort the problem as blackmarket firearms are still in circulation

    nice work. we used a bought lamp which connects to the ciggarete lighter port. and bunny bashing with the .22 rimfire was great fun.

    Nikko stirling 3-9 by 40 milldot!!! im only saying this because i just bought one and it has done my accuracy with my springer a whole world of good! focus twisty bits zoom etc.

    Well today i went to the gun shop to get my gun chroned and some pellets for my new permission sunday. For a while i have wanted a scope and looked on js ramsbotoms. in the shop i asked about scopes and the guy very nearly sold it to me however being a tight git i left the shop just as i was about to open the car door i noticed the tackle shop was closing down because people were buying online so i went straight back into the shop and enquired more the guy was great took me out side and showed me the improvement in comparrison to my scope i ended up walking away with a nikko stirling mountmast

    yep they do become wise to the old hunter!! The family im shooting for see them out during the day so i will have to give that a go!

    Just an update. spoke on the phone to a farmer around 15mins away from me about shooting and he as said i should pop in with the gun on sunday so he can show me the places they sit and where i can/cant shoot.
