  1. That is soo simple. I take it that you put lots of pellets in and use the heads to open the pellet in fronts skirt?
  2. Hi I find with most makes of pellet the skirts are not always the same which could cause them to be a loose fit in the breach. On YouTube I saw a guy primeing his pellets in a tube press thing. Does anyone know how to make one?
  3. I think the man your looking for is called midge. Haven't seen him on here for a while I have two not very nice looking ones in most peoples opinions for supersports. I can pm you the pics if you want?
  4. Sounds ideal. I'm going to do a sort of work experiance at a dairy farm so I'm on my way to learning about the land.
  5. Where abouta are you? I could go and shoot some.
  6. She's a phyco! There is nearly no one on the planet who know more about the countryside and quarry than hunters themselves. I do hope there aren't many of these townies!
  7. http://www.fieldsportschannel.tv/index2.html may not be to everyones taste. but i find interesting.
  8. a lot of the guys on youtube are using adapted cameras "instructions on how to put NV together" although it is probably less hassle to get a full on scope kit. that however i cant comment on. but the camera adaptation may be worth a look.
  9. This channel may not be to everyones taste but in my opinion it could be worth a look at. Could be very good for our sport. http://www.fieldsportschannel.tv
  10. Cheers for your help guys. I may look into what degrees are needed for jobs in forestry. Also what degree would you Need to run an estate? Or is that down to the land owner?
  11. yea i know i kind of want to go to uni because of the lifestyle and also the economic climate meet new people etc and if there is a course that i would enjoy and will go towards a job i want then thats the way. I just like the idea of being out doors my main hobby is mountain biking and i like the idea of using the enviroment for recreational reasons and also preserving it and of course making money out of it. I love hands on stuff outdoors im not good at sitting around indoors if i can help it. Your right im doing geography at a-level and renewable energy is not my prefered study! however bus
  12. Thats the problem. im not sure what i want to do. something with money and land. My family expects me to go to uni and i would happily go. I am currently at sixth form collage studying 4 subjects that i enjoy. where is the money? the forestry commission have a beat forester job. maybe work towards the farm manager position? What types of jobs are there? and what qualifications do i need for the areas?
  13. Hi i am 17 and have done my GCSEs with all passes and above. and now in my first year of sixth form. In the future i would like a job in agriculture or land management. what sort of jobs are there? I do not want to be a keeper but like the idea of working in the outdoors. Say for example working for the forestry commission doing land management etc. What sort of jobs are there and what qualifications do i need? I always offer a helping hand at farms and stay at two different farms who friends own and have contacts around the area. So what sort of jobs are there Cheers lads
  14. how do you make a facebook group? if everyone on here who has facebook got all their friends to join the group then we would be well on our way. (look at what happend to rage against the machine)
  15. Cheers. I understand the principle now but putting it into practice is harder. Anyone actually using this method? If so are you using a 9X mag scope? For example how many mils ctc does a rabbit at 10meters etc cover?
  16. Cheers zini I have got the hold over sorted upto 50 yards it's the range estimation I'm finding hard at 30meters on 9X mag does a rabbits head cover from the centre of the reticule to the first mil dot from base of ears to top of neck for example. Next time I get a rabbit I will test this unless anyone has done so already.
  17. Ok I roughly understand how to use the mil dots now. Has anyone used this method with a 9x magnification scope? If so how many mild does a rabbits head take up? Also has anyone got the dimensions of a pigeons breast or head and dimensions of a rabbit? I'm shooting Thursday and want to be ready to rangefind better using this method. Anyone using this method with a 9x mag scope and got the low down on how they are judgeing accuratly?
  18. That's good stuff I have started using the adjustable optics method by using some instructions for field target shooting. And am about to check out the link. I have started using know markers on shoots to roughly estimate distance too but I will keep practicing and maybe a lazer is in order.
  19. I'm not sure but I have read many of his articles. Some interesting stuff.
  20. Brilliant shooting once again zini! Hats off to you. How are you range finding? (range finder, normal scope mounted laser? Great shooting

  22. On although i have never actually used a v-mach tune i have done lots of research when i was looking for solutions and found that v-mach had very good reports and are very well thought of.
  23. If the lightning is anything like a supersport then it is really easy to dismantle. You need to make a spring compressor there are a few designs on the net if you look. what i did to start with was to remove the internals and give a good degreasing with petrol. (make a clean surface first to prevent dust etc getting into contact with the internals) i then polished the piston with wet and dry sand paper and assured that i cleaned all metal particles off. check the seal and make sure it is not broke or worn out. check your gun has a spring guide if not buy one from chambers (i think they sell th
