Soo cringe worthy. I'm using a gas ram BSA supersport. Will strip it down later. Not sure how I can show my face again there after that!! Have to practice lots!!!

Got up at first light today to shoot for a bloke in his garden. Arrived and saw loads of rabbits so I got about 4 rabbits in my line of fire first 10 mins but wasent confident they were about 40-50 yards. So carryed on and got loads more in sight but still I wouldent take a shot even though I knew I could hit em. Anyway when at last I decided to take the Shot my gun dident fire (I need to sort this) this happend twice. I went and cocked went round a corner and there was a rabbit 15 yards away standing shot..... Bollocks I MISSED so now 2 hours and nothing to show. Oh and I missed a pigeon

Ahhh your right I downloaded it a day or two ago and have had a play without knowing my ft/lbs but used a possible power output. And if I change the pellet the ft/lbs does change. The program is ace I love the visualisation bit altogether it is genius and I have now sorted my zero range so I can get 1in groups at 5-32 yards without holdover and under. Also I did the range up to 65 yards and got 1 inch groups. -
chair gun pro have some and if not using the targets its a great program!
-
sounds like you are going to have some good results with good grouping like that and some good land. good luck fella! Also what gun are you using?

chairgun pro help
air gunner replied to air gunner's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
phew! i did not want to worry about BC thanks! part of the reason i will be using chairgun is to determine each pellets path etc so would it be wise to get the gun chronoed with each pellet i am likely to want to use? apart from the fact i dont want to buy a load of pellets im not going to use. also what about scope height? -
alright mate. sounds like your kitted out. if you have done your targets then you know your skills. i say the kill zone for rabbits is around 1 inch many say smaller like 2p etc anyway once you have this sorted then you are pretty much there the reason you want to be able to do this is most importantly humaine kills obviously secondly there is nothing more frustrating than taking a shot and not hitting. trust me if you dont hit a rabbit in the brain then it wont die in time for you to retrieve. anyway enough of that. you can either find thier warrens det up around 30 yrds away Downwind (or wha

right i have the technical wonder that is chairgun now i just need to know how to use it effectivly. so firstly how do i know the power of the gun? if i get it chronoed with one type of pellet then all other pellets will have a different power. secondly how do i know my scope height? what is BC and how do i calculate it with my BSA supersport? (i do not own a chrono and get the gun shop to) and any other info i need to use this succesfully. thanks guys

Cool I will check them out when I get a chance to visit the gun shop to get my gun chronoed. By the way if I were to get my gun chronoed and it was over the limit what would the gun shop do? It shouldent be as it's a 12fl/lb gas ram and the rest is stock kit. Anyway chairgun pro is awesome!!!!! All I need to do is check my power in the gun. By the way airarms David that hw looks very nice do you shoot open sights in hft? -

Cheers phantom I will get my gun chronoed soon as possible then give chair gun a go. -
right as many of you all know i am trying to get a flatter trajectory from my .22 air rifle. now i have bought a tin of webley mosquito express pellets the traectory is by far better with my zero at 30 yrds at 25 yrds i have a half mill hold under 20 its 2 mills and 15 im not sure yet havent hit the target money yet, at 35 yrds i have a half mill hold over and at 40 its a 2 mill hold over. this is a huge improvement to my 16 grain pellets. however for experiment purposes i would like to know your views on the AGS elite .22 pellet before i buy some i believe they have a weight of 12.4 of someth

I find a long range lamp good for spotting them then use the lower power for actual shooting. I use a 1000000 candle power jobby and spot with it then when in range have the lamp held above the rabbits head so only the eyes are visible then pop and you have your bunny.
-
Probably the first time ever that I have gone out and not seen a single rabbit. A shame from a sporting view but good for the farmer. However I will be out one evening hitting them hard.
-
Dident end up getting to the shoot untill 10:30 farmer rekons none will be out. So here I am 10 past 11 not seen a single rabbit do you think any will come out at this time?
-
Cheers mate I'm up at 7 which isent very early but hey rabbits may be out because they haven't been hunted in the morn.
-
I may try the fx pellet if I don't get on with the webley mosquitoes I just got a tin of. My main problem is not the lubeing etc it's the initial fit into the breach of my break barrel whether the skirt is too tight So it's hard to push the pellet in or too loose as the mozzies are so it's not a tight fit. After a zero sesh tommorow morning I'm out to a permission with some wary critters so will find out how the mozzies do and if they live up to their annoyingness on the bunny population.
-
That's ok mate. Good luck finding the kit you want and let us know how you get on

Worth knowing it's onthe home page. I think this channel is going to be great for field sports if only people who don't have inside knowlede could easily notice the channel so it's not just bad press they are being fed.
-
Cheers mate I will definatly be having a look for them and if there are none suitable I can adapt the pen method to work in the same way. Thanks again for the help guys.
