Very nice lamp. Its actually a Vapalux lamp, British made, cost about £120 new now and far superior to the Tilley lamp. Will last a lifetime if looked after. Ive got one or two of the earlier ones from the 1940s and 50s and they work just as well as the day they left the factory. Below is a website that sells all spares etc for these lamps and all things paraffin related. http://base-camp.co.uk/

I cant remember accusing you of breeding rubbish. However if I caused you offence then accept my sincerest apologies. I presume you are a jock, going by your attempt at writing your supposed dialect. However I have no intention of travelling hundreds of miles to Scotland to seek your approval of my dogs. In fact I have no intention of ever returning to Scotland, but that as they say is another story.

Your making a good choice mate. The dog will likely turn out better than a lot of the rubbish being bred at the moment. Ive just bought a pure bred toy poodle for bushing work. See the photos/thread in the earthdog section

There is a substantiated rumor that gordon brown is a closet fudge packer. The rumors have never been printed due to the likely hood of a court case being brought against the source. When it became clear that he had a good chance of becoming PM a marriage was hastly arranged to rebut the Accusations. What a state this Country is in we now have a fudge packing scottish PM who has not been voted in by the public. This Pm will now tax us more and take the Country into a police state with are freedoms curtailed and many controlling acts put in place. Many people forget that the politicia

Had a bsa lighting and it is a great gun for the money. If you have a little more cash the HW is unbeatable. I have the HW as my only gun at the moment.

There is a well substantiated rumour that gordon brown is a shirt lifter. I bet he hopes that never makes front line news.

Well from my experience gypsies/knackers/pikeys, how ever you care to describe them, are weird. I will tell you a little story about gypsies. About 5 years ago i had a lurcher stolen from my yard. I made some enquiries and was given some information that my dog was seen on a local gypsy site. Well i was thinking about going straight down there but i thought better of it and decided to wait till dark. That night i made my way down to this gypsie site, about 1AM. Anyway low and behold there was my dog tied up outside a caravan. I quickly untied the dog and was about to make a quick exit when i

Dear mr david2363 In response to the the above post i feel i have to respond. My post reveals nothing about me your deductions are all in your active imagination. "felching" is indeed a homosexual activity, although its reference in my post was in jest. Did you have to search on the internet to find its meaning ? Yes you are correct about my hatred/fear of baliffs. I view them as one of the lowest forms of humanity, alongside crack addicts and batty boys. You see i dont think me and you are that different on this point. Deep down i know your ashamed of the way you make your living,

What qualifications do you need apart from being a C**T and a W****R. I hate baliffs ive got a suprise for the next one that visits my place, i cant wait to try it out. Cheers for that "mr cuban" The work I do is mainly corporate repossessions - cars, vans, business equipment etc - If they don't pay for it, its got to go back. I DON'T go knocking on peoples doors lifting their tv's etc, but I'd love to pay you a visit sometime. What I've learned in my game is that people who say they are going to do this and that are usually quiet as lambs face to face. It's the quiet ones who usually a

Interesting replies to this thread. I think the only use for these collars is to stop stock worrying i personally wouldnt use one for any other training issues. However although it was very effective in curing my dog of worrying i agree with others on the thread that a dog cant be trusted once its worried stock. To put it simply im confident that my dog will not worry stock while im in its presence but if was asked to leave it alone in a field of sheep on its own and return in an hour i would be a worried man. As most people are not going to be asked to do this then i dont think it is a proble

Does anyone have any info on mist netting/trapping etc or bird liming. Just for info reasons!

Yes i agree they are a last resort and are not to be used indiscriminately. However my dog had worried sheep on three occasions before. Resulting in me charging after it pleading and cursing it to stop. Alas it was to no avail the dog has to be punished in the act for it to connect the pain with the action.

The one i got gave a shock, but bought it from usa on ebay and had to get a convertor to charge it. Im not sure of their legal status in this country, i think the electric shock type is illegal or about to become illegal. The one ive got has 8 levels of correction. I tried it on myself first and level 2-3 gave quite a jolt!. I took my dog, a whippet, to where it had previously worried some sheep. I wasnt sure if 2-3 level was enough so i put it on 5, a bit too high looking back. I ignored the dog and advanced into the field sure enough as soon as the sheep started cantering off the dog gave

Broke my whippet to sheep with special collar, best thing i ever bought. Also broke my mates beddy whippet with it. They work a treat got it off ebay £ 1/4 mile range sappp!!! The dog stops in its tracks and comes cowering back. I would be reluctant to try it on something with a bit of intelligence it might associate the collar with the punishment. Anything with plenty of sighthound in it will be stopped in its tracks.
