Were on this thread did anyone mention regulary flighting pinks on the solway in mid september?...the thread was about fresh birds in and how early they seemed to be and if any other fowlers had seen many birds heading in to the solway and other estuary's.....speck savers springs to mind.

they wont stick around long enough for anybody to get a shot at them,they come in the tail end of a moon normally october them move down south, you will get some new arrivals that are daft and get off with the barneys in october. the pink shooting on solway dnt start till late nov thru till end of season.these birds that are in just now will be seen once then you wont see em again nonsence.... Seen my first skien of pinks flighting in tonight about 40 birds..(seem earlier than usual)...Anyone else seen any?..

i still use the L22,was a popular call in my neck of the woods a good few years ago,still quite a few lads still using them..treated myself to the archie jordan pink mk3 for this season,sounds good.
