Good Black Dogs (Pattedales?) in the US?
jarhead replied to Dirtysailor's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
What I was trying to say is that the type of person that would want to get his money back out of the worthless dog, is like the prostitute. Who would sell a worthless dog. Todd So what your saying mr gordon M,AKA mr p.r.dale is no more than a prostitute for selling whiskey the spewer for the sum of £700 to your mate OLA?SO that makes OLA nothing more than a kerb crawler......well praise the lord let the truth be told.. -
three years and not later on ever thought he may of changed the way he worked when older and didnt just steam in and get blitz ?? That was going to be my next question .How old was the dog when the dog was seen to jack.My mate had billys sister and to say she f**ked up a few times in her early years would be an understatement but when she learned to settle down she went on to make a very good bitch.Thats one thing ive noticed with quite a few from this line of dogs the can take a while to mature and need carefull handleing untill they settle down. so tell me downsouth why did you not gi

I had a dog out of billys father charlie ive never had pups out of billy.Shaver walked after i used him,I used him after i saw him do a very good job out digging my mate who owned him said it was probably his fault the dog had walked of as he had overmatched himwhen the dog should have been rested but who knows i never intended keeping anything out of shaver the breeding was done as a favour to my mate but i know at least a couple of the pups went on to make decent dogs,Rabbithunter off here had one of them.As for Chaz i had a dog back out of him to meg the most perfect put together terrier yo

Downsouth..i seen billy and he was no young dog,a well seasoned experienced dog according to his owner(he was shit to say the least ).you used him as you used that shaver dog who again was a dog that liked a walk or two.can i ask why you used billy and did not keep anything back for yourself?did you keep anything back from chaz and or shaver back for yourself also?seem's some of your perfect stud dog's(cant comment on chaz)are we known jacker's. .

your dog is no better it don,t stay. complete shit  i should no i try,d to dig it your full of shit :wankerzo4: my dog, ok he's shite but i wont breed of him Brog sorry i mean ferret 13

brog!i've seen billy work/walk but hey he's an excellent specimen and a truely outstanding worker to ground the perfect stud dog..Is that what you want to hear?.But truth be known the dog is a spewer/quitter/walker end of .good luck with your youngster.

S E knows my feeling on the Billy dog, he is utter crap, and if he was not a good looking dog he would not be breeding from him.
-
cheers mate thats got to be a steve ellis bred pup??? do you know steve ellis? Ive got a dog he bred a worldbeater. YES I KNOW HIM, HAD STUFF OUT OF HIS SNAPPER DOG THAT WAS , ALSO BEEN OUT WITH HIS BILLY DOG , AND SEEN HIM WALK.

JUST WONDERING HOW MR PICKAXE FEELS ABOUT THE BREEDING FROM A FIRST SEASON BITCH?
-
Downsouth thanks but no thanks for the offer, seeing your yoyo's once was enough,no need to be in the company of a man that breeds off quitters and more than once.
-
Alright mate you must be AG.That dog was out of an excellent litter just some of his littermates were Jasper Buzz and Chip all very good dogs. So thats the strength behind this line?.lol a excellent litter downsouth mmm your standards are not that high then?
-
have u seen any pups bred out of the yoyo dog ? like i said i mated my bitch to him 4 year ago and have had some good reports abt the pups ,one was finished at 3 year , no teeth etc left , another small bitch kills % of the foxs she works , maybe i was lucky with the mating? we all have are own idea of a perfect dog ? Think you will find i'm on about the dog not pup's out of him,he is a yoyo(a walker, spewer.)what ever you like to call him,and this is the type of stud you guys are using to produce a WORKING LINE.says it all really does'nt it?good luck.ps heard of these finished at 3yrs old
-
Downsouth newby i am not.Only get a chance to get on here when am back home.Must say always found neil to be a good genuine guy.For you to state you like to send them to ground with the right tools for the job surely you have to take into consideration the working abillity of the parents ie there workers that stay until the end,so why travel all the way north to use a yoyo dog on your bitch? But is it the first time you have used a yoyo sire on your over bred chocolate bitch?atb jarhead ps if your bitch ever produces a mint yoyo give me a shout i love them.edited my previous post as it was sout

, My opinion for what its worth is that when you line/inbreed on terriers that have bull in them however small the percentage the bull gene can rise to the top and start to dominate and you can loose the terrier instinct if your not careful. My opinion for what its worth is that you breed for type/colour rather than working ability as i read through some of your old posts. quote, benefits were real powerful jaws and unbelievable weight and strength for dogs their size. they are earth dogs not weight pulling machines. I also like a good head, but working ability should come first

Keep old nuttal terrier's myself, poker appear's way back in some of my dog's breeding, anyone on here see him at work,if so what was he like.

Even the best laid plans can go wrong and where did i ever mention world beaters.I think we can all be guilty of thinking the grass is greener elsewhere unfortunatly i didnt get what i hoped for so ive gone back to what i know works.Like the old saying goes if it aint broke dont try to fix it. mated a bitch out of charlie to its half bred brother a chocolate dog owned by ste e ,, the pups turned out to be good grafters, plenty of hard work sorts the quality of the line , if it works for u why change it ? stick to the workers you get results with ,their is good n bad in all the breeds ,

I have never seen Charlie work, but I have seen a couple of dogs bred down from him. 1 is a dog called Billy that walked of when he was not getting it all his own way, and not for the first time so i was told. The other is a grand son that a mate uses with a hunt, that is not a bad little hunt terrier. Good, and bad in all lines though.

Low standards...... too low

good post H H. I had a similair thing happen to me. I kept and worked old Nuttal lines for a number of yrs. When the line became to tight [bad mouths ect] I went back to Brian, and used one of his stud dogs [Miner] on 2 of my best bitchs, first gen was just ok, but after that it was all down hill all the way. The dogs lost gameness as well as size, and bitches came very small, no good for big earths. Now I would'nt touch Miner blood, but was it Brians falt, no probably mine as I should have done my homework better, and found the right dog. -

some nice dogs you got there. A couple of yrs ago there was a fella down my way with the Carmarthen who kept Bedys, though the ones i seen were no good even doubled up.
