Hi all, i have been offered a .22 MK3 BSA Superten, BSA 3-9x50 scope and brand new spare synthetic stock, in as new condition for £375 ono. I don't really need it but have always liked the look of Supertens and wouldn't mind it. My question is, is this a good price? Also, how much would the synthetic stock be worth as I'm not sure i would use it? Many Thanks, Paul.

I think maybe people shoot for different reasons, and it sound like i enjoy very different aspects of shooting compared to you. If the day ever came when i started getting 'mightily pissed off' with a min bag of 20 rabbits, i would sell my guns as the enjoyment would be gone. But thats just me All The Best, Paul

I don't know about the shooting part but am a Tree Surgeon so can give some advice on the tree part. Generally if a tree overhangs your property you can cut it back the the property boundary providing it has no preservation order and what you do is not detrimental to the health/safety of the tree. For example, if you cut branches off one side of the tree it can become unbalanced, so as a general rule you need to do the same both sides. The farmer has no obligation to cut the tree back for you and the council will probably only start caring if it becomes a danger to the property. So,

1985 ish...?? That's about when the HW77 appeared Andy. I'd love to find some of the early original 77s and see how they shoot. Wonderful rifle. Simon According to the list of serial numbers on the Weihrauch Owners Club my HW77K was made in 1984? That must make it fairly early? If i ever meet you you're more than welcome to have a go Paul.

I have found this one also, you can view a large picture of each pellet too http://www.saddleryandgunroom.co.uk/gunroom/sg_airguns_pellets.htm

Hi all, firstly I'd like to say i know the talk of power adjustment on the open forum is against forum rules, so I'm not looking for an open discussion about this, if anyone can help me I'd like to know via PM to keep within the rules and prevent this post being deleted. I have a Gunpower Stealth in .20 but also have a .22 barrel. I obviously can't put the .22 barrel back in the gun as it is as it would be over-powered? As the barrels are so easy to swap about i was wondering if it were feasible to get a .177 barrel also and swap to which caliber i want and adjust the power accordingly

Anyone who considers themselves a 'Lazy man' for shooting a pcp clearly isn't putting enough effort into their shooting! I shoot both and certainly don't feel any lazier reaching for the pcp over the springer.

Hi all, my HW77K has a Nikko Stirling Mountmaster with a 50mm objective lens, which on that rifle doesn't suit me as it is a bit high. I have a Stoeger 3-9x40 scope which came as a freebie when i bought another gun. I have temporarily fitted this to my HW77K and find my eye naturally lines up with it much better being that much closer to the action of the gun with the smaller objective lens. My question is, are these scopes any good? I haven't used it yet but it seems clear enough. My only problem with it is there are no covers for the adjustment turrets and no way i can see of lockin

Thanks for the reply, I'll take her again soon just to make sure it wasn't a fluke I'm pleased as she enjoyed herself and as she shot well she's interested enough to go again which is good. She was asking when she could go hunting with me I told her after a few more sessions shooting paper targets.

Hi all, i needed to go and do a bit of zeroing on Saturday and my girlfriend wanted to come with me so i took a gun for her to use while i zeroed my Stealth. We were shooting in my mums menage which is a bit more than 30 yards long and has a nice comfy wood-chip base to lay on so is perfect for zeroing and plinking. I set my girlfriend up with my .177 S410K with a tyre for her to rest the gun on and went about zeroing the Stealth. After a few shots i took a look through the scope at her target and couldn't believe what i saw Well, here is a pic with a 5p to give it some scale, it'

S200 Filling connector help......
bud replied to bud's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks Buster, it can be done then? Is it possible to do yourself or will it need to be sent away and done professionally? If i can't do it myself and it's going to cost lots I'll just put the old type back on as its not that much of an inconvenience, just seems a good time to do a swap. -
Hi all, my MK2 S200 has developed a leak from the filling connector (the push fit type) I was wondering if i could replace it with the same one i have on my S410? Like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Air-Arms-S472-Male-Filling-Connector-S400-S410-S510-/120651943794?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item1c176a8f72 It would make my life easier if they were the same as it would mean i wouldn't have to keep changing the connector over on my pump. Many thanks, Paul.

bsa xl tactical review ?
bud replied to lewis collins's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Here you go mate http://www.gunmart.net/gun_review/bsa_xl_tactical_air_rifle_in_22/ Hope this helps -
Personally i would choose the HW77, theres just something about them. I have very recently acquired a HW77K in .22 and in all honesty couldn't be happier, I've not given it a good testing yet but hopefully will do this weekend. I think at the end of the day it comes down to which rifle you prefer, i cannot comment on the TX but I'm sure there is nothing between the two. Maybe try them both if possible before buying, as what is good for one person isn't necessarily good for another, and the most important thing is that the gun fits you and you feel comfortable when shooting it. All The Best

Thanks Simon, if it's good enough for you then I'm sure it'll be more than good enough for me I'm in no rush to buy a scope yet as i will mainly be using open sights, but will have a scope for when i want it.

This is my first post in this section so would just like to start by saying hello to you all. I have just bought a Sony DSC-F717. I don't know much (or anything ) about photography but do enjoy taking pictures. My camera came with two memory cards but they are only 512 mb or something and i want to get a larger card. My question is, does anyone know if this card will be compatible with my camera? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250770606828&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I have emailed the seller but they did not know. If not, can anyone recommend another card that

Thanks for the reply, i will test it with the chronograph this weekend hopefully and see what sort of power it's running at, that will help me make my mind up about tuning. I don't think it'll be going anywhere anytime soon, i like it too much, i can't stop holding it and admiring it As for the scope, i will get a scope more suited to me or my style which ever it may be but want open sights. I don't see open sights as limiting, i have PCP's for serious hunting and longer range shooting. It's more the feeling i get using open sights, it gives me a real sense of achievement using them that

Nikon Mountmaster 3-9x40 £16.64 brand new
bud replied to markha's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Nice one, certainly some bargains to be had on that website at the moment..... -
I've been looking at these, i don't have any experience with them but saw a video on youtube i think it was and they looked OK. Will be interested to hear if anyone has any info on them.

Hi Simon, Thanks for such a helpful and informative post, some good information there i will take on board The silencer was push on but had no grub screw, i will try and get a pic up at some point, i will keep hold of it but not sure I'll put it back on. I love shooting with open sights. When i was younger i had a .22 BSA Meteor my dad got me from a bootfair for £15. I used it all the time with open sights as i couldn't afford a scope and found they were really accurate and i enjoyed using them. One day the farmer was clearing out the cow shed on the farm behind our house and asked

Theres a few on ebay at the moment http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=bsa+sights&_sacat=See-All-Categories Hope this helps

Hi Simon, thanks for the reply. If i do go down the tuning route I'll definitely give Tony Wall a ring I will take it out and give it a good testing first before i decide on anything though and run it through the chronograph and see how its performing. Like you say i think it would be an easy job to restore to near perfect condition. I like how it looks, nicely worn in. If it got worse or started to rust at all then i probably would do something about it. Do the silencers make much of a difference to the noise on these? There was one on it when i bought it but was only about 3 inche

Thanks mate, I'm really happy with it

Hi mate, i am really impressed with the condition of mine considering its age. I cant wait to get out with it and give it a proper try out. I looked at the cold reblueing kits and they look fairly straightforward to use, there is a video on here somewhere? I was thinking of doing mine but actually like the aged look and its not really that bad. ATB

Hi all, i don't post enough on here so thought I'd tell you all about my new purchase. I have just bought a Weirhauch HW77K in .22 and love it!! Its fairly old (about 1986 i was told) but in excellent condition with only a few minor marks on the stock and the blueing has worn a bit on the cocking lever but nothing serious, just adds to its character i think. It came with a 4-12x50 AO Nikko Stirling Mountmaster scope and silencer (which i didn't like the look of so i removed) , all for the price of £175 which i thought was a good deal? I am thinking of putting open sights on it though as
