this dog was taken between the hours of 9am and 12 pm today,2 men were seen in a blue or black transit sized van,one man was seen entering the garden, and proceeded to break into the owners locked kennels, the other kept watch outside the garden, and then made of with the dog he is 16" tts, smooth coated chocolate coloured, signs of work and easily recognizable, would have difficulty ppassing him on without drawing suspicion whoever has took this dog better be prepared for repercussions if found they are far better returning the dog with no questions asked the people who are now looking for

WELL GOOD NEWS pup has been returned, but your not gonna believe who had taken it. the lad who delivers the newspaper each day,was wandering around the village with it on a brand new lead and collar the cheeky c**t had even bought for this pup this afternoon,my mates girlfriend found him sitting with a load of his pals with HIS new pup when confronted about whos dog it was,he was speechless. theiving little c**t eh well at least all ended well thanks all

longest time youve had a dog to ground
moi654321 replied to old timer123's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
10 years or so ago i had a bitch to ground in a spot in a nature reserve local to me which was right on the footpath for 7 days, she had a collar on,albeit an old deben collar, couldnt get a mark anywhere for the bitch all that 1st day,no noise,id bolted lots of foxes here over my younger years before i had legitamate places to dig,id never had to dig this place ,but it never looked a bad spot tbh,on the side of a small stream couldnt get the terrier rescue in as at that time wouldnt accept me as a member,so got my partner to contact RSPCA sayin it was her dog and lost it while walking the publ- 37 replies

could anyone of the powers that be enlighten me as to why the site rules were changed to allow guests to view this site?? surely was better when anyone wanted to read stuff had an account, seeing as how members ips have been used lately to see they had multiple accounts! i also know an ip address can yield someones location, surely being in the present era where huntings concerned - ie anti groups ect, surely the present site rules stink,ALL should have an account to view anything,@ least then anyone on for wrong reasons could be logged to a rough area, also site rules should be changed so use

dvds ect are the exact reason the working of terriers is the way it is today,to many macho look what my dogs can do ect idiots dishing footage out too all and sundry, which ends up in the wrong hands, doors get kicked in ,dog bans dished out, a working terrier owners worst nightmare. what happens out in the field whilst working your dogs need not be brodcasted, only the people out that day need know. look what happened when the Tom Parr footage was leaked ,public out cry, media frenzy, one of the biggest nails in coffin for the working of dogs below ground of recent times, bet they wish theyd forg

i would take the chance using a unproven sibling of right bloodline if it was my only available option left to keep a line or strain going!,in my opinion you are better of taking a chance breeding from unproven dog or bitch from lines you have or mates have that you know 100% of the bloodline and youve seen other dogs from these lines out in the field prove working ability over generations, better the devil you know i say, as taking a chance on someone elses breeding and word of mouth and (probably just telling you what you want to hear, bullshit for profiteering) and selling you shit and wastin
-
oh man, would have been interested, but your too far away,im in north east
-
i agree with that mate
-
i believe bloodlines are everything,to achieve consistency in a line of terriers and to continue to produce a high percentage of working progeny, certainly worker to worker is fine but not knowing the history behind the dogs your breeding from is a bit like a lucky dip,you will no doubt get workers from such matings ,but the key is will it reproduce workers? you cannot in my opinion create a line of dogs in this manner. i understand why true terriermen keep their cards close to their chest so to speak regarding breeding and dogs ancestory, too many people use bloodline names to make money f

The age doesn't concern me at all, 12-18 months, and as for never reading so much shite, well if you want to dig to your dog, scratching away up a tight tube to a bunny so be it! Dogs for jobs, i would leave it for the ferrets or lurchers! Im sure many people would agree! your opinion means absolutly feck all to me bud as i said my old bitch dont go to ground for bunnys she knows when the ferrets are in the box she is to work above ground not below and when the ferrets are not out she knows its her turn to go below and anyway what difference is it to you or anybody else its my choice and if

Best of luck with the fox, but when people come on with a fanny licking black un and talk shite and try and lead people into putting up pictures of worked dogs and go out of there way to put up freinds to validate themselves then you do the maths. Ray has had plenty of oppurtunity to prove himself, he must of seen my reply by now, he's just trying to get in on here and make people talk shite and hang themself IMO. i have been watchin and waiting for a reply to your query also,i smell a rat, although you can be sure he's not the only one frequenting this site. I also must express my conc

i learned this is a thing never to do from an experience over 20 years ago,i was in my late teens, started digging with a couple of well EXPERIENCED terrier lads who were in their late 20's and early 30's,we went to a spot in the bottom of a dis-used quarry, but it was a earth and not a crack,a depth ranging from 4 to 8ft and about 8 holes and nearly always held a fox,one of the EXPERIENCED terrier men ( or so i thought, being just a slip of a lad in comparison to them) had a young black dog which had started very well, and had half a dozen digs or so and about 15 months old at the time, dog was c

if you gonna use anything use straw, but i wouldnt use sawdust, use shavings, dust will make a right mess of your dogs eyes and not to good for there respitory system imo
-
wouldnt pin your hopes on a dog bred from this breeding mate, seen 2 this season fail after good starts, not knocking you and hope it comes good, but even if this happens (comes good and makes the grade) wouldnt consider breeding from it at a later date, but put it this way i would be looking for something else of similar age from better WORKING blood as a backup in case what ive seen happens to you regards

He had about 8 digs until now if that's what you mean. YIS AW. if it was mine id be administiring a lead injection mate,a dog at 2 years old and supposed to have had 8 previous digs should be well on the way to becoming something of use,so long as he entered and saw the job through till youve broke through to him without the in and out problem you described in the 1st post i feel,no offence to you,but its just not gonna make it as a earth dog in my opinion, some dogs just havent got it in them, when the tough gets going some dogs even if bred from the best can fail miserably, happe

+1 the barryvox wins hands down over the pieps box in my opinion, better build quality, and super accurate [bANNED TEXT],if you can afford its the one to buy, used my regulary over past few months, very happy with parting with my cash for this quality bit of kit
