I have recently started to lamp Willow with some good results.I have only had her out 3 times and has caught on the last 2 outings.The first night she didnt really know what was going on but picked it up very quickly.Its something different and you get some good flights on the lamp. A few pics.

We decided to take the ferrets out yesterday.We got to the farm at about 2pm and headed off.We started off by doing some burrows along a lane.We put the ferrets down and while we where waiting I saw a rabbit about 50 yards up the lane and I slipped Willow.She pumped all the way and hit the rabbit in cover but no joy.So recalled her and got back to the lads when a rabbit bolted and she was off again and this time got her rabbit.The ferrets where still down and the buck killed at the opening of the burrow and we had our second rabbit. Hi John, Yes very ancient. The hare, in one form or another, has been pursued with longwings since the sport’s earliest days. It looks like a pinched feather to me.In witch case your bird has got a fright while the feather was growing and caused her to throw her mew feather.The good news is if it is a pinched feather she will grow a new one. ATB Wayne

Here is a pic. of the front of my mews.It has 3 perches a bath and food shelf. The floor has slabs covered with pea gravel.It's 8x6 and is plenty big enough to free loft my FHH.I hope this helps you. Image
