this is why i started the topic to find out how the rest of the litter has turned out not for people to start giving negative comments about the man and his dogs terrible thing the green eyed monster, had a couple of pm's and they say the same great nose, huntability, brains etc mines done very well on other things also best of luck with yours mate cheers albert

the first time i met chipper was when i went to pick up my pup and i found him to be a nice bloke that says it how it is ther's no use fannying cos you only get found out, iv'e spoke to him on the phone a couple of times to let him know how my dogs getting on always been pleasant and always got time for a chat my dog has made everything he said he would and more, the way some people were talking you'd think they'd seen his dogs working? cheers albert

dont know mate he's not into lamping or ferreting just daytime and it does its job very well, it was originally bought as a rabbit dog but for what ever reason my mate ended up it dont think you'll have any problem using one on the lamp but some of them open up

have you got that right mate 23" and 30lb ?

as watchman says they are fast and have great stamina but they seem to be injury prone my mate has one at the moment does every thing single handed but seems to always have swollen wrists/toes and if it looks at barbed wire it needs stitches probably because they have tremendous drive

seen some real uns seen some not so good but that was more down to the lads that owned them -
not found mine to be any more boisterous than any other pup infact can say he's been a pleasure to train as he's eager to please, but you have to look at whats in the blood, gwp they can be headstrong and hard to hold back its up to the owner to get on top of his dog, mine appears to have thrown to the collie you never know it might go tits up at some stage then its down to me to get him over that

dont give it paracetamol what ever you do 1/2 or 1/4 of an asprin but what your giving it should be ok perhaps it just needs more time to get over it

yes mate collie obviously in his line with him being merle, his mother is a red merle but basically lurcher to lurcher his sire was a dog called dougy, i'm sure dave sleight's boy blue is in his breeding aswell already performing like a dog with more seasons under his belt

just wondering i bought a pup out of this litter 15mths now, didnt have a choice as it was supposed to be going to ireland, a blue merle dog anyway had him out with me ferreting from 4mths, his first catch at 5mth was a wood pidgeon which had been winged not looked back since realy, he's had 5 pheasant 2 which he's took out of the air, caught loads of bolters, never given a false mark he's great to watch trailing a rabbit, will work ditches and cover and a pleasure to have round a set,very obediant and easy to train but does'nt like strangers, he's about 24" and roughly 55 lb i know some went

mine stay till the end mate only keep one worker old ones 13 young upstart 15mths mate it is hard for some people to keep them on after retirement due to kennel space
