    Headed of to Thirsk for a days ferreting today ,Young Dan, Andrew, Terry, Darren and yours truly. Forecast was a bit iffy but we decided to give it a go. We arrived at the farm and it was was quite windy but not too bad. We started working an hedgeback and if Im honest you wouldnt think it would hold many rabbits, ferrets down then all hands on deck, rabbits bolting all over the shop, we took twelve out of this little scrubby hedge. We worked along this hedge and the wind started getting stronger and stronger but still the rabbits were popping out, in the end the weather got the better of us,

    Just a few pics of yesterdays ferreting trip, decided to ferret the big wood using just pursenets, it was hard work but ended up with twenty plus, got a massive set to do next week so it will be longnets, pursenets, dogs and all the ferrets, will try and get a video set up, so watch this space, atb DAVE.

    Had to stop at 47 as young Dan had to get back and get his school uniform on and walk in his house and when his mam says what did you do at school today, he will say hes been on a field trip,lol ;)

    Returned to our new permission yesterday, but without the longnets only purse nets as we were doing a wood were the farmer said he had seen a few going into. Me and young Dan set off at first light and by half past two had 47 rabbits in the bag, the wood had never been ferreted before and the rabbits bolted like a dream, we had an half a dozen digs but it was easy digging and not too deep, a good day was had by all.

    Had a morning on some new permission at Catterick, slow start but ended up with 35 good clean bunnies.
