I only have to get "into" my springer occasionally, then it's a full on rag by his cheeks, legs off the floor jobbie to put him back into check. (just copying what a bitch does in effect) This is maybe once a year when he thinks he knows best. For lurchers when they are playing up, it's step back a lesson and a stern growling voice, unless I have an aggressive situation (A fight) then I step right in and flatten the perpetrators until they yield as I'm the pack leader etc.. I'd never condone hitting a dog & never do so, but the odd scruff or jab in the neck like the bitch does w

I have to agree, with most here, I've got a collie/whip/grey here who is a nightmare in the house! She shits herself at the slighted noise, even the surround sound on the telly and she's skulking in a corner, the fridge door banging and she's off, her food bowl scares her rigid when its dropped, Even if I go to the shotgun cabinet she is sat there with her knees knocking looking like she's gonna be beaten senseless (never ever laid a hand on the bitch) But as soon as she gets to the car she's a completely different animal, no noise or anything phases her, totally switched on and game

Fairplay mate, However the strong stuff gear is the bollocks, I've switched from leather to Arrons stuff and there is no comparison, the amount of leather collars I've had chewed to bits in kennels is immense. If I was showing then leather would be for me, but as all the terriers & luthers work, then I'll stick with SS for now. I really can't see why anyone would need a leather collar anymore as times move on, but good luck with the sales and work etc.. Maybe you should target the whippet guys as thats where the delicate leather seems to be the norm (no and I'm not slagging whi

I have a Mossberg 12g hushpower pump for sale, wooden stock, only a couple of boxes of carts through it. In good nick, some slight "cabinet" rust on the barrel, but a good gun £300 Bettinsolli Supersport 12g, 30" barrels, extended chokes, (full set Inc) nice stock, some "cabinet" rust on the barrels as my son was supposed to clean it & didn't!! but what if the dog did not have enough saluki in it two out run a hare and after a hard race and the starts two pull away and after 100 yards stoped What??? Saluki blood only for long ears?? There are lots of reasons why a dog pulls up (not just on what quarry you mention) if its as fit as it can be and is in tip top shape then it may have another "silent injury" or other thing to stop it. If a dog jacks consistently then ask why? What happened? How? Over run? Overmatched, too much expected Etc.....they ain't machines an have the odd bad day, just like us.

Had a situation at one of the permissions that I have, some "older more experienced" chappies hehe,had dug 2 cubs and left the earth open! For rough shooting you won't go far wrong with a springer. They hit cover, flush & will retrieve I've got a young lab, 12 month sprocker & a 2yr old springer, and the springer just makes the lab look silly when the cover is thick & dense and he hits it hard. Saying that though, the lab is steadier and easier to control when picking up.
