    I am no pro at corvid hunting pal, but I do no that magpie are a terrortorial birds whether this has got anything to do with it I dont know but I will be keeping an eye on this post though could do with learning a bit myself. ATB Si

    All of the above is spot on and also be aware of the ground you are walking on, some surfaces are noisier than others for example when you are walking under trees and there are broken twigs on the floor or when walking on hard mud or wet mud can be very noisy, if you can here your foot steps the rabbit can for sure.     Hi mate, I think your deffinately better of getting second hand you will get more for your money if you are spending a ton on a rifle. The most important thing you should do when you get one though is take it to a gun shop or ask at the shop you might buy one from if they can chrono it for you, if your shooting rabbits or any quarry your gun needs to powerful enough for the job.     No mate it wouldnt, I own a hw77 and it is a fantastically accurate rifle and I would take a chance and say it would be better quality than the crossman you wil probably need a gun mounted lamp if you are doing it on your own as you will only be able to shoot when the course is closed, but if you want my advice by seperates as you wil end up with a better package at the end of it.
