    mate you always get people twisting what you say. not stating what your implying but its a proven fact researched by 100's of top animal people that dogs do have ways of communicating to each other on basic form. i.g giving scent of being in season this is telling other dogs shes ready. shackles on back tells the other dog they mean business. even there tails shows how the dog is feeling and this is another method of communication between dogs. theres been much research into wild animals on hunts showing they do communicate on the hunt in simple terms i.e yapping wolves do it. wild dogs do it

    We had a greyhound mate, f*****g useless from what i can remember(was very young). I remember out poaching for salmon, I never knew thats what we were doing but got told later.     You use the time scale of 15 years to back up your argument then admit in that time the opportunity to take a hare was only on the odd occasion and yet you feel compelled to throw your tuppence worth in as if it proves your theory.     11 months, fkn hell............. my dogs are about ready to retire at that age, why you been holding it back? As soon as they are old enough for their first jab i introduce them to charlie...... sometimes charlie runs away with the dog attached to its neck but I like my dogs to be good yappers so's i can following the yelping......     oh i know, like that bloke said earlier it has its positives. the best part about it is you know when the dog is still on the quarry even thoguh you cant see it any more, and if you hunting with a few dogs it alerts the others to get on the chase. mate your right people dont realise yapping is a part of the hunting instincts in dogs and wolves and its used as you say to notify the pack were they are to help with the catch i've noticed the more game dogs are more prone to it and especially dogs ran doubled have a higher chance of this happening as there in a more pack orientated hunt. i don

    So wat would be the ideal dog to put over say a f1x collie/grey bitch.I admit they can be a lot of variation in a litter of lurcher to lurcher bred pups but as long as theirs running dogs ie saluki deerhound grey in the crosses good pups can be produced.atb dell When does a lurcher become a mongrel?
