  8. Yes as you say Tina, last years show was held at Pleasely at good central venue in a good catchment area with good motorway access from all directions I think it's a shame the clubs moving away from it's roots but I guess some might call that progress. !!!
  9. Well done to all the winners and the organisers, I've been a member of the club since it's conception and every year it appears that most of their events are going further a field ( south ) there's very little in the north for members, once they ran very successful shows in the north east and Scotland, maybe the nucleus of members are now from southern areas which has resulted in the members championship moving further south each year and as Tom said the price of fuel governs the distance people are prepared to travel these days.
  10. What really gets my goat is those show punters who contact the organisers undermining the integrity of the judges, surely if they know the judge don't like their type of dog then don't go to the show and please don't start a witch hunt to have the guy removed, remember he's probably given up a day and in some cases used a load of fuel to get there, all we end up with is the lunatics running the asylum.
  11. Sounds like you were dropped in at the deep end Wulf but you still managed to pull it off so now you can relax and look forward to next year and maybe take a few decent helpers onboard, any one got any pics of Lurchers, would have been there myself if the controller had sent me qualifying pass !!!!!
  12. Looks like a decent show but I would say the Lurcher schedule is very poor, class's need to be more defined.
  13. Well done to all winners & exhibitors, and a very well done to John and Angie winning the Lurcher final.
