    I got Baikal Hushpower 410 would not ever be without one, it opens areas of land and situations were noise from a larger caliber would be a problem.

    Notts been fine with me about 12wks on first fac application, FAO very polite and helpful cannot fault them.

    Is your barrel free floating if so actually check it with a piece of paper run it between barrel and stock it should run down unhindered, I had a CZ that was not grouping consistently found that the free floating barrel was touching the stock, sanded it back to free barrel and the grouping tightened up and was consistent there after.

    Give yourself plenty of room extra deep two guns bigger than you need you will be surprised at how little room there is with scoped up rifles,plenty of extra room prevents you from knocks and bumps when are removing or putting guns away.

    I changed ammo from cheap Remington to Winchester subs they seem to run a lot cleaner.

    Thanks DigltDeep was look for confirmation from some one who had used and had foxs in this type of trap.

    I use an SG880 it uses black like technology so there is no glow at all when it triggers,it stops it being noticed by the two legged animal.

    I got it set at 8" I will move it up to 9" as recommended by Defra before setting,just been reading there recommendations to do with fox snaring.Just one more question, what sort of success rate is anyone having with this trap.Thank you all for replying.

    Thanks for the advice talpa,I just want to make sure I got the stop on the snare correctly positioned.

    Bought one of these traps,before setting it recommends that for fox's you set the snare stop 7ins measuring from the end of snare, having not snared fox's before i am keen to get this right, it is designed to capture alive so I am keen to get the snare set correctly for British red fox,any help from anyone that has used this trap on British fox's before would be appreciated thank you.

    I got a Biakal Hushpower 410 and I wouldn't give it up for anything,a moderated 410 opens up areas and situations that would not normally be possible with other caliber weapons.

    As with all semi autos don't be disappoint if you do get a jam,it is something you have expect at some point.

    Just come back from re-testing zero and grouping at 100mtrs, put 15 rounds down range no problem 1" groups and on target so it must be i think as Decker said just down to Atmospheric conditions so my mind is now settled thank you all.

    Took mod of noticed a bit of brass in rifling at end of barrel and in mod, assume this is normal ?.

    Going to put some more rounds through rifle tomorrow and see if grouping is still OK.

    Out of truck and a sitting position,but it was a out of normal sound that seemed to carry through the air for some distance.

    Being new to .17 HMR shooting,I have noticed that two or three times the round had sounded like it is ricocheting through the air before hitting anything is this normal,conditions have been still and quiet when has accrued,has any one else had this happen or are things normal for this round.

    I got a CZ 452 .17hmr American varmint model,shooting 1p size groups at 100yds quid a solid feel to gun,varmint model quite a bit heavier than standard American due to the heavier thicker barrel but I prefer this, also got same rifle in .22 but just standard American model,it shoots well and very light in weight,both guns retail at a very reasonable price.

    Have you tried any animal or pet rescue centres,sometimes they keep hawks as a means of raising revenue at events, of course they must all be steel shot.

    Cheers all,going to have a look at mates .17 T Bolt in synthetic full set up see how it feels before buying.
