    The secret is in the name Graham & Darren 'SPORTING WHIPPET CLUB N.I.' not 'Working Whippet Club' and it was set up to cater for all types of whippet ownership, not just working,so everybody can enjoy the breed whatever they choose to do with their whippets. Show, race, work, pet......ALL are welcome, as long as they are whippets x

    Just a reminder........ Please note that membership fees are now due for the coming year, and should be paid at the latest at the first event of the club. Last years members who fail to renew their subscription are liable, at the discretion of the committe, to have their names removed from the membership list and therefore have to re-apply to become members. Anyone wishing to become a new member of the club can obtain a membership form at any of the club's show/race events.

DUNSILLY KENNELS, Milltown Road, Antrim. BT41 2JJ Admittance - £ 2.00 Per Adult, Children Free Show Classes & Racing £2.00 each - Signing in for racing between 12 - 12.30 pm, no late entries will be taken – * ALL DOGS TO BE TAKEN UP TO THE TENT WHEN BEING BOOKED IN FOR THE RACING* - All dogs racing at this event MUST be muzzled !!

    Dessie has asked me to say that there will be a puppy match (for dogs under 12 months) and an adult match (for dogs over 12 months) and that as Margaret has stated any type / breed of dog can take part in the matches.

    By winning 'Best in Show/Champion Whippet' at our show on Sunday Renoir owned by Tracy Gill became the 1st qualifier for the first FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP to be staged at the Irish Game Fair at Shanes Castle on Sunday 29th June 2014. Briar owned by Roy & Carole Hill becomes the 2nd qualifier having won the title 'Sporting Whippet Club N.I. Champion of Champions 2013' Thanks to Albert Titterington for allowing the club to have the first qualifiers for this prestigious event.

    Thanks Denis , Sorry you couldn't make it up to for our end of year event The lovely shield you so kindly donated to the club was won by me with my dog 'Renoir', who was Reserve Champion of Champions at the show yesterday. I shall look forward to seeing Renoir being the first name engraved on the ''Denis Couch Perpetual Shield'. Hope to see you at some of the shows in the not too distant future Tracy x

    Delighted to hear that you have decided to go ahead with a NEW FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP in 2014 Albert ............ whippets are a truly versatile little breed who have increased in popularity lately, at many of the shows I have been to over the past couple of years the whippet numbers have well exceeded those of terriers. I shall look forward to hopefully getting a dog qualified, lol!! Tracy

    Just a reminder that the final Sporting Whippet N.I. event of the season will take place on Sunday 15th Sept @ Dunsilly. The clubs ''Champion Of Champions 2013'' will take place after the usual showing and racing...... Qualifiers for this are only the Best In Show Winners from the Clubs 6 show this year : Tracy Gill with RENOIR John Shaw with BLUE Carole Hill With BRIAR Pierce Reynolds with PEACHES Kirsty Fyffe with OLLIE & whoever wins BIS at the Open Show on Sept 15th.     Well done to everyone Just a wee correction to the whippet class winners, my whippet ''Puppy Bitch'' who won the class is called Scarlett not Ash , Ash won the Whippet Bitch Class and Reserve Champion Whippet.
