    The Sporting Whippet Club NI will host the first of their showing and race days for 2011, on Sunday 17th April. Details as follow........... Venue: Dunsilly Kennels, Milltown Road, Antrim. BT41 2JJ Gate opens 12 Midday Signing in for racing 12.00 - 12.30 No entries will be taken after this time. Grading starts at 12.45 Show will start at approx 1.30 Racing will commence immediately after showing. Please note that these events are for whippets only, and all dogs racing must be muzzled

    I have copied this from another forum for a friend of mine. Please help in any way you can to get these poor dogs back to Tony their owner who is devastated by what has happened............ Four Whippets were stolen from their owners home in Nenagh,South Tipperary Southern Ireland on Fri 27th August,three of them were bred by us (Mossbawnhill) & I have attached their photos,unfortunately I don't really know an awful lot about the other dog & have no photo's of him.     Hi Little lurcher Pamela who bred these whippets is a good friend of mine (infact I have a litter sister of two of these stolen whippets)and I also know Tony their owner. I will be making sure info about these 'stolen whippets' is spread amongst the whippet folk that are there on Sunday and will be taking some posters with me to put up at the show/ race event. Thanks for posting the info on here as the more people that know about this horribe crime, the more hope there is of getting these much loved whippets back to Tony who as you can imagine is devastated by what has happened.     Yes big poacherslad. all classes bar the pups and pairs qualify for the finals, dont forget to bring that big fat wallet of yours ! Rumour has it that there's notes in that wallet have not seen the light of day since 1983 ! he was tryin to use white fivers at mine mate hes lookin the big win again after meath see you there top class show Sure he tried to slip the burger man at rathbeggan punts!     we were thinking 6yr old, what age were you thinking yourself. It's up to you as the organisers, as long as the judges, stewards and exhibitors all know what age you class veterans as. Only asking because I've seen people taking 5 year old dogs into veteran classes with 11/12 year old dogs....and winning !! Seems a bit unfair to me ? Maybe you could state the age veterans must be on your ring class signs? just a thought ....however I know a dogs age can very easily be exagerated!!! Looking forward to the show

    Thanks for a great show Dessie We were delighted that our whippet Vixen put on a great performance once again to win the whippet racing & just as delighted to win overall whippet show champion with her aswell Janet is yet to see her latest collection of trophies!! :toast: ..... The bottle of sparkling Vino will be opened when Janet gets home tonight so we can toast Vixens success Just a small correction to your results. It was Liz & Eddy (not Sammy) who won the whippet puppy race with their black & white boy whose name I keep forgetting , Their Cody was also 2nd over
