  1. Wilkes is the place to go for hex nuts. I like them for short range. They drop off after 20 yards. But up to 20 yards there accurate
  2. Here’s a pic with a garden fork for scale
  3. i use dankung precise 0.8 very happy with it ,not as stretchy as tbg but lasts well
  4. As above......mine would chase at that age but now at eleven months she has learned that it’s a waste of time and not acceptable behaviour....now hares that’s a different story lol
  5. When you are training it train it to hunt close to you as it’s easy to get it to hunt at a distance when it’s trained but not the other way around
  6. They know the score after a few trips out. My last one hunted close when I;the beating line but hunted alongside the lurchers when out mooching
  7. I have always had cockers.....they work with the lurches and also beat on the shoot.....they will never win a field trial but do ok at both
  8. As above all the ones above are good.....try a few. I like all three but the scout is my favorite
  9. These work really well we put seven out and all seven were used some on poles ,others in trees on the islands
  10. I use precise 0.8mm ,wouldn't go back to theraband gold
  11. I use braid. I don’t use a mono leader
  12. Loads on the Facebook sites....pups part trained the shooting and bushing are two different disciplines but it will realise in time i,ve just got a cocker pup for the same job....
  13. Don’t be daft. Everyone knows Salukis don’t retrieve
  14. heres it retrieving a honey badgers testicle....why bother retrieving the whole carcase ,this strain of dog just retrieves the vital bits
  15. I might be interested ,this bitch of mine is iron hard....absolutely no reverse gear generation after generation ,tested to the hilt.....dating back to the run of the century The ancestors of this dog fought bloody battles on the streets battling bulls and bears what I need now is an out cross because that dogs a lovely colour and the pups would sell well on pets r us
  16. went here a couple of years ago ...unbelievable http://www.selousgamereserve.net/
  17. I have used twin bands before found that single was better for me with a light pouch, it was more accurate to be honest. Single with a light pouch is fast enough for hunting i, m no expert but I think double would be better for bigger ammo. 12 mm lead etc
  18. The bands on the pic will go straight in and out of a beer can at 10 metres. I use 9.5 steel Just get the band length right and practise
  19. mine is about 6 inches for theraband but 7 for precise #the theraband is a bit more strechy so I cut it shorter
  20. depends on what bands you are using
  21. as greyman says ..work out how long the bands need to be ...they might need cutting down a bit .. then keep practising
