    what estuary are you fishing?....nice fish

    the mackerel are off north wales but are very small and patchy ...fished hard for them for about two hours and only had about 10 but they were tiny ....I reckon everything is about a month behind

    fished the menia straits last week and yesterday...it was hard .last week we managed two ,the tide was right so we could get the sandeel net out we had fresh live bait so after a few hours we had two this week wrong tides ...not brilliant bait ..they are not feeding on eels at the moment so with no crab we blanked even mackerel fishing was hard work

    I seen them many a time always on windy days not hovering as a kestrel would but flying into the wind at the same speed as the flow so not going any where

    I use Nikon and have also been down the sigma route...I have now seen the light and will only buy Nikon lenses .buy an older second hand lens if funds are short. I have a 300mm f4 ed lens and that is brilliant...old, heavy and built like a tank but takes fantastic sharp images.

    i recieved my carrier and its very well made and value for money just what i needed to have in my pocket on shoot days great to deal with ....recomended

    tope fishing in north wales ,it was mad more than 20 in a few hours ,we had two this size on at once...the kids were stood on the boat seata because they thought they were going to get bitten

    that quote at the end brought a tear to my eyes . i,ve hunted the dales and carried injured dogs off the hills...the dales are mentioned on here time and time again as the place to go but take my word for it its tough up there. brimmer i,m sorry to hear about your dog i know what you are going through.....

    monkey has just got darcys new book god its good....great pictures ,the coursing ones are superb..loads and loads of old photos of all the great bloodlines. not being a great one for pedigrees and bloodlines i thought it would be a bit boring but not at all, in fact it fasinated me and really got me thinking the saluki is an old breed but in england its only the last 30 years that its come into its own.. what an influence this old breed has had on the match scene and its all explained in a series of interviews with some of the coursing greats. its a book that w

    a lot of people dont like introducing feather too early as after they are used to it they dont like the naked canvas dummy as much...theres no need to introduce the feather until the dummy work is all done <directional work etc>
