  1. When we used to go lamping fox (don't do it now strictly a rabbit/rat man !) we used the valve out of a squeaky dogs toy always worked for us
  2. A method that I've found to work even with feral (lost) ferrets that I've come across (to date I've found three and they were all like wild alley cats !) is to withdraw all liquids for a few hours so the ferret is thirsty, then offer it some milk (I know ferrets shouldn't be given milk but they'll go for it everytime before water) and keep picking it up/stroking it, all the ferret will want to do is get back to it's milk, it won't be bothered about being handled and after a few sessions of this treatment you should find the ferret will become hand tame and easily handled.
  3. Pity he never had another bigger mean machine in his yard, then the police might have been looking for a gippo with one leg missing and his remaining leg covered in shite, they deserve everything they get the dog robbing b*****ds, let's all hope the van catches fire with the gobshites trapped in it !
  4. Could well be extreme form of bloat, I've had this in a young ferret myself. If I was you I'd put her up in a hutch on her own and not feed her any food for a few hours , but allow her as much full fat milk as she'll take on board, this worked for me and my jill was ok within 24 hours, if no improvement by then get her to the vet....best of luck mate milk is the last thing to give a ferret with a prolapsed rectum go straight through it, there lactose intollerent Wasn't aware the ferret had a prolapsed rectum & neither is the lads vet by the sound of things, am aware ferrets are
