  1. Who is Zini? > > > > > > > > > > > Surely you cannot be referring to Der Zinmeister? Sib
  2. And me! That was following advice from Zini. Excellent scope for the money. Cheers Sib
  3. You never really get the sense of atmosphere without the odd whistling pellet going by. Full report when you wake up, I guess Davy? Cheers Sib
  4. Gun Tuff for me too. I am pretty good at estimating up to about 35 yds but then have trouble. This is of course exactly when you need to know the exact distance to allow the correct holdover. I have been very impressed with mine and excellent value at the price I paid from JSR. Sib
  5. This works well Davy. A few of my mates use this technique and there is always an old briar to hand. Cheers Sib
  6. Good job Davy. You're working hard for your kills at present, aren't you? Sib
  7. Great post Gary and a really good bag. You sure are loving the 510! It was flippin cold on Saturday night - you should have mentioned in your post. :11: Cheers Sib
  8. I have been using AA fields in both .177 and .22 but (because they are softer) you get a lot of deformed skirts when you open the tin. When I switched to Accupell and Bisley Magnums in .177 I did not encounter this problem. :thumbs-up: I have my AA 410 TDR zeroed for 35 metres and out to 30 yds they behave much the same. It's only when I get to 50 yds that the differences show with the Accupells dropping 2.1" and the Bizmags just over 2.5". Even so this is only the difference between 3/4 of a mildot and 1 mildot. Cheers Sib
  9. Ya, der Zinmeister has returned. Hurrah! Sib
  10. Cracking couple of springers ther, Shay. best of luck for next time. Cheers Sib
  11. just for you! sib regards davy Monster! Be like shooting with a .25! Sib
  12. Nice job Davy. Be interested to see your pellet tests with the Bisley Magnums. They sure are heavy! Hopefully you'll put a video up on Youtube as well? Cheers Sib
  13. Davy will probably be on to tell you his views as we was excellent with his .177 S410. If you go to youtube and look up some of his videos he has done some pellet tests. Personally anything that is accurate is good and I would be happy with AA Field, Bisley Magnum and Webley Accupell. All very consistent, accurate and easy to buy. Cheers Sib
  14. \well done Gary. You got in before "wrong section!" Davy Cheers Sib
  15. I'd be pretty pleased with those figures with unwashed/unweighed pellets. You don't say what gun that was with but even with a regulated one, I think these figures are wholly acceptable. Cheers Sib
  16. They are the same weight but a slightly different shape. I tested both in both my HW95 and AA S400 and found the fields to be more velocity consistent and accurate. Cheers Sib
  17. I'll probably be shot down by others, but personally I wouldn't use Bisley Magnums in a .22 springer. I have found the HW80 and 95s like AA Field and also Falcon Accuracy Plus. But I know friends who sweare by RWS Superdome and also Accupells. Cheers Sib
  18. Nice shooting Gary. You seem to getting on really well with you new S510. Cheers Sib
  19. I've been using them in my .177 Air Arms TDR. They are very accurate and shoot nice and flat. Hardly any holdover needed between my zero point of 35metres and and 45-50 metres. No problems in the AA S410 magazine either. Cheers Sib
  20. Excellent write up Jack and also the accompanying pictures. Sometimes you get more of a buzz working hard for one shot than you do with half a dozen "easy ones". Keep us all up to date how you get on from this location. Cheers Sib
  21. Well done. Nice to see some hunting pics with springers. Cheers Sib
  22. Exactly. If you can group like that when out hunting, you'll have no problems. Sib
  23. I can't begin to say how helpful Si has been to me over the past few months. As well as his posts, he has PM'd me with lots of information that he has gleaned over the years and offered some sound advice born of experience. I really hope he continues to post and impart his knowledge, although I'm sure we will all miss his videos. Hope he settles in well in Germany and his wife and Dylan are happy(and Zini of course). Top bloke who will be sorely missed. Cheers Sib
  24. Spot on. Equally accurate - they rely on how good you are in estimating holdover/holdunder. Look at Zini's posts/videos. He regularly takes corvids at 50metres with a .22, whereas Davy is a cracking shot with .177. You pays yer money ........ Cheers Sib
