  1. I've got the Ledray GL2 and to be honest it's great for airgun ranges at night. As Chay mentioned, do not put a filter on them as it cuts the light down far too much. The upside of them is their weight and portability. Sib
  2. My Raider used to love Bisley Magnums and Accupells but hated AA Field. It was a stunningly accurate gun with the right pellet. Sib
  3. Nice to see you back posting Si. The videos are as good as ever, so keep them coming. I hope you and the family are fully settled in now? Cheers Sib
  4. Welcome and congratulations. Sib
  5. If you can get it charged locally and you want a new gun, then I don't think you can beat the Webley Raider. For £300 you could get a decent secondhand Air Arms S4*0 or various BSAs. Stick with the proven ones for your first PCP as there is a wealth of knowledge avaialble together with easily obtained spares if required. Safe shooting. Sib
  6. This is extremely unusual as ther HW100 has the reputation of being the least pellet fussy of all the modern rifles. MIne is happy with Falcon Accuracy, Bisley Mags, AA Field, H & N Trophy and I know Zini has used FX. After doing what Davy suggests re cleaning and checking scope fittings etc, check the allen bolts holding the stock to the action. Then I suggest you try shooting it without the silencer, as the pellets may be clipping on the way out. Do all of these things one at a time, so you know what you've eliminated. Suggest you try all of the above with the H&N as the
  7. Happy Easter chaps. Just off fly fishing for a couple of hours, then down to the stables to see if I can bag a couple of bunnies (if it's not raining again) Cheers Sib
  8. Top man Davy. I think everyone on here appreciates the amount of effort you put in to bring us your reports and scopecam footage. Looking forward to the IR stuff it it all works out. Cheers Sib
  9. Hi Sib, Yep, thats the one Takes a couple of minutes to set up and works well Phantom Thanks. I'll give it a go as the poncho has arrived - if it ever stops raining!! Sib
  10. You're on a roll now Tony. Keep up the great work and write ups as they are much appreciated. Cheers Sib
  11. Excellent video. I've gone off AA Field lately because there seem to be so many damaged ones in a tin. I've been using Falcon Accuracy and I highly recommend them as well as the normal Bisley Magnums in .22 In .177 I use the Accupells if I want a very flat trajectory and ultimate distance and the Bisley Magnums for slightly shorter ranges. Sib.
  12. Nice write up and some great photos. If it would only stop raining every day down here I might be able to get out for a decent session myself Cheers Sib.
  13. Phantom, Is this the set up that Steve Price uses in his DVD? I was thinking of giving it a go as I've just ordered a Flecktarn Poncho off Ebay. Cheers Sib
  14. Can't even get on it due to server overload. Think I'll stick with the friendly forum. I find most of the others too cliquey and most posts seem to degenerate into ...." will I see you on Sunday at the club with your Steyr GTI turbo nutter .177 etc, etc......" This has been the best one I've been on for advice, encouragement, amusement and friendly banter. Sib
  15. hi bill get ya self a AAS410K or the TDR or AAS200 much better than both of them you have mentioned regards davy And if you're interested Bill, I'm thinking of selling my .177 TDR. Haven't put it up for sale anywhere yet though. Great rifle for what you require and nice and light. See how highly the gamekeeper in this months Airgun mag rates it. Chers Sib
  16. Stop at 200 bar max refill at 130 min. For optimum performance, use a chrony to find the optimal values and keep the pressure somewhere in between. Prolly 145-185. My 2 cents, Maragan. The HW100 is regulated so there shouldn't be a "sweet spot" as in an unregulated gun like the AA S410. In .22 you should get 5 mags out of the carbine version that I have and that is after filling to 180 bar, which seems to be the concensus on the Weihrauch forum. Cheers Sib
  17. Sounds like a great weekend Davy and as usual an excellent write up. :thumbs-up: Why can't we see this kind of involved description in the mags instead of the normal sterile stuff we get? Sib
  18. I had a .177 single shot for years and only recently traded it in as I wanted a multishot .177. The Raider was probably the most accurate gun I have owned and if the 10 shot is the same it will be an excellent purchase. Sib
  19. Great write up Tony and excellent pictures. You've worked hard over the past couple of months and it's great to see you with some reward for your amazing perserverance. Cheers Sib
  20. Nice shooting mate. I like your gun as well. Don't see many TXs like that. Sib
  21. It's nice to have a change from the the normal shooting. Indoor ranges are good fun. My local gunshop has a 30m one where they set guns up before you buy. Great shooting with the string Davy. Cheers Sib
  22. Hang in there Gary. I've just had two days of major problems with a small minded twat in the office. All you have to remember is that you're better than them and rise above it. If you descend to their level by throwing your toys out of the pram, then they've won. Sib
  23. Si was modest enough not to mention his excellent springer tutorial on Youtube. Have a look under Zinaroon and you'll find a very good video on technique. Sib
  24. Thanks Gary, I really appreciate that. I have to work in the City of London in an office, surrounded by young ladies with short skirts and big Nice motor, by the way. Cheers Sib
  25. Great post and video, as always Davy. Keep up the good work, mate. Cheers Sib
