    the kitten collars i use dont have elastic . just sit them on your lap and give them some oil . they dont care what you do to them then

    The vaccine dose not work as veccinated ferrets have also died of CD.

    I want to take my ferrets hunting with me, but I have been keeping them in and not taking them out as I dont want them to get ill. I dont think the rescues are lieing about it as they have posted photos of the ill ferrets and its very sad to see. all the rescues I know of dont have a problem with hunting with ferrets ,some even go hunting themselfs. so I dont know whats going on? how many people on here would pay there vet to find out why there ferret died ? and how many would share with this board if it came back as CD. ? if everyone can share any info they can on ill ferrets ,then maybe w

    I know the rescues, so i can tell you they give first class care to the ferrets. but with over 50 ferrets having to be put to sleep and more now showing signs of it. in more than one place. we need to be careful that our ferrets stay safe till this is in hand. and we dont spread it further.

    Is anyone worried about the canine distemper that has been killing ferrets of late in rescue centers? should we be keeping our ferrets in and not take them hunting till we get the all clear?

    CONFIRMED CASE OF DISTEMPER HAS NOW BEEN BROUGHT TO WOLVERHAMPTON FERRET RESCUE. THIS HAS COME FROM SHERWOOD FOREST WHERE DOGS ARE DYING IN LARGE NUMBERS.     Last night a friends friend set up was broken into and 3 ferrets stolen in Ashford Kent Please keep your eye out for 3 male ferrets - 2 black eyed whites ( one a caramel colour on his face ) and 1 pole cat with blaze on the back of his head the 2 white have both had recent surgery so will be easy to identify

    This has been posted on FB so I am passing it on . Tuesday night 13 ferrets were stolen in two separate incidents in Durrington on the edge of Salisbury Plain. Whoever did this had no regard or respect for the people's property... They are hell bent on what they want and how they get it. Only the week before a large number were stolen in Tidworth as well. People need to be made aware and MUST be extra vigilant. Ferreting season is well and truly upon us - most probably being stolen for this use... People who do this dont care about Ferrets. thay dont want to Dig a ferret out or bother with t
