You will get answers from both them that like jills and them that like hobs, its up to u what u get people say jills get behind them and push them out better, or hobs cause of their power either will do the job. some times they will bolt em some times they will kill em, depends on where the rabbit is down the hole.
There is a keeper near me and i remember him going out last year on the mule, 2 on the back shooting with shotties they shot well over 100 but then they did cover alot of ground, which will be needed, they were going pretty fast down the fields shooting and then picking up on the way back.
I think on a .22 they are good espeicially when your going to a ground that u shoot often the small pop doesn't make them bolt further down the field but on a big rifle unless u are very quick at reloading dont think they are needed, (even though i have one on my .223, got a good deal) cause what ever u shoot at with a biggun even if u miss or there is 2 of them thier gunna be gone from the crack of even a moderated centerfire
Finally after watching several dissapear when the lamp goes on, i got my first fox with the howa .223, this years cub stood 90yds broad side, whack , went the norma 50 grain b-tip well chuffed, got pic but on phone, hope fully many more to come
place the snare where the rabbit is passing through the fence
or are you just placing the willy nilly in the hope
As a moderator i would have thought that you would be there to help, not make simple comments, some people come on here to get advice and learn some thing that they would like to take up as a hobby or even at a later date a career, i have seen alot of your posts where u just say 'look through previous posts'
There could be some new people on here with different info. personally after looking at your web page dont listen to what you write cause you put on your web page
that last one looks a little large for tree rats, door mite be bit heavy and two doors will stop them getting back out while another is getting in, other than that looks good
Just a rumour but i was told that BPCA are trying to get this programme banned for some of there antics they are up to, jaguar outside hmmmm. maybe the reason me thinks
I have taken all sorts of colours of rabbits in the past but spoke to another ferreter and he says if he catches a black rabbit he will always let it go, cause of superstition, he said two people he knows took one and two bad things happened, one creashed his car next day and the other lost a finger the next week, i said it was just coinsedence (cant spell) but he said no no no, black rabbits go back free any body else heard of this
The thing is with beekeepers they will only come out if they can see the bees and get them in a box quickly any where else they dont want to know, thats all i get from my local keeper. by all means they will take them off u if u have spent all day getting them out from there home but personally i would put them in a plastic barrel with holes in and put them in a field
French wasps they are, no where near as many in them as the normal nest we get, but still a pain in the arse, quick spray with WND mk2 does the job on these beauties
there is a trap called the victor impassable it is perfect for the moles than run a the surface, but if on public place will need to be set at last light and checked at first light cause they aint small traps that u can hide
Once caught 2 crows in one side of a larsen, they are harder to catch, i always put them on a barrel so that they are off the ground, stops them walking round trying to get at the call bird.
