  1. Hi Tony You can buy nitro powders face to face only if you are over eighteen and have a SGC/FAC, you only need an explosives cert for black powder. Black powder aquire and keep tickets are free and if you have a SGC/FAC you can have one for loading black powder cartridges and muzzle loading (loads of fun) you also need a ticket to transport explosives (Known as a POMSTER) which is also free once you get the BP cert to aquire and Keep. If you have a BP cert this entitles you to have upto 15 KG of powder but this would include any nitro powder. I know it's clear as mud! but if yo
  2. The Lee Load All is a cheap, cheerfull loader that will load 12, 20, and I believe 16 gauge with the appropriate conversion kit. They usually come in the 12 gauge version out of the box. I've had mine over 20 years and for low volume loading they can't be beaten for the price. As another poster has stated Midway UK do sell them mail order at the right price, but they do sting you on postage cost with a minimum £8.95 the last time I bought from them. Henry Kranks in Leeds sell the load all mail order but I can't speak for their carriage cost. If you google Henry Kranks you will get the

The Brenneke slug was designed for this from the start as are all rifled slugs, although the optimum choke for slug use is usually cylinder or improved cylinder. The purpose of the rifling has been debated for years as to whether or not it makes a slug spin and the truth is it is there to allow a solid slug to swage safely through a choke and not to make the slug spin like a rifle projectile. Never, Never shoot a slug from a multi-choke
  4. A simple hello to all and to let you know a little about myself. I live in West Yorkshire a few miles from Ilkley, in fact within view of the Cow and Calf rocks on the edge of Ilkley moor (as per the song) "Ilkla Moor Baht at" I have been fishing and shooting since I was big enough to hold a gun and a rod which would have been from about 9 or 10 years old. Along with my partner in crime (she who must be obeyed) I like nothing more than doing the rounds at country shows and fairs in the north of England and can usually be found with 2 Greyhounds and an old retired Lurcher in tow.
