  1. Nice looking pups there mate, if only i had some room.
  2. No wonder i cant fined any pipe, you got the lot lol. This remineds me of my little brother, he used to go out at night and pinch the orange flashing lights from road works, he would bring them back in carrier bags so no one would suss what he was doing, he looked very suss walking home with flashing carrier bags though.
  3. As far as i know, the first one's made do not have a magnet at the bottom end to turn the coller on. If you own a mk3 box, look at the bottom end and see if it has an arrow marked on the case, if it has, then it should be a newer type box and it should turn on the new collers. ps, if it came with normal click shut collers, that dont mean the box wont turn on the new collers, it's that arrow you got to look for. I got old click shut collers in the wrapper with the newer box.
  4. Have had the same problem myself but a couple of tight turns of electricians tape around the grey slider box before passing collar over it does the trick! try it & im sure they wont let you down again Ok mate, i'll try that.
  5. I went out last weekend with the petrol strimmer and cleared a fair bit away, took me ferrets back there today and it was looking good till the collers mailfunctioned.
  6. I'm going to have a look at Thame country show on Thursday, and maybe the berkshire show at Newbury next weekend for some better nets, the cheap one's are a bit of a pain at times.
  7. Thats a good idea, will have to get some hanging baskets for mine. good pictures.
  8. I've had my mk3 for a year now, and i've found it to be very acurate, but the collers let me down today. The collers are made of plastic and they slide open and closed to turn them on and off, and the slideing rail has become a bit worn and the collers signal became intermitent as a resualt. I'm going to look into the magnetic ones to see what the quality of those ones are and see if they would be better. Apart from that problem, i'm happy with it.
  9. Was realy worrid about the reaction i thought i was going to get, but a lot of handling the ferrets in front of the Jacks and telling them to leave them when they looked like getting a bit to eager worked for me, now they all play together on the grass without any misshaps.
  10. I got my hutches out in a fairly big ferret court, i hang some fly catcher paper in their that catches most.
  11. Thanks for the positive sencible replys from most of you guys.
  12. I aquired a whole sheeps fleece today, i'm thinking about winter bedding for my Ferrets, good or bad idea? Opinions please.
  13. Well, i got 2 new jills and locked my adualt jill in the hutch inside the court, and let the new 2 have the carry box as a bed box inside the court, I went to get adualt one out to take her for a jab, and found her cuddled up to the young two, so alls well that ends well, but how the hell did she get that hutch open, i dont know.
  14. Had her Jab today, the vet charged £22.00, thats a little bit higher than most of you, but at least it wasnt £40.00. The receptionest works ferrets too, aparently she works them with a hawk.
