  1. i use fresh rags from work (well my mate usually gets them at the mintue) or old cloths ripped up
  2. ive got a little poley jill, only had her out 2 maybe 3 times so far. and she rode a rabbit out the warren on her first outting, 2nd time down she dragged one out by its face. if she keeps up the good work ill find a similar size hob to go across her and breed off her
  3. i have 4 cages inside my court, but that so i can isolate them as required during breeding season. hobs, breeding jills or sick or injuried. im going to alter it so it outside the court in my shed instead tho

Do you ever find certain ferrets get more grub than the others in a court Barry? yea, thats a draw back tho. you can send them to fat camp tho.....all alone on half rations in a spare cage lol also ive got a hob who i think got ill then bullied out of food when was on holiday, the father in law never noticed. currently ive got him in house and having to syringe feed him
  5. mine live in a roomy court rather than a hutch with cat toys,tubes and a ferret wheel (not sure if they use it)
  6. i just change mine twice a day with fresh clean water, thats all ive been doing for years. but there in a new court now which isnt as open to wind etc nd its alot warmer in there than i thought so hopefully i'll not have to do it this year
  7. do you do any hunting at all? i dont think any of us want to loose any of them, thats why we use collars on them
  8. Would rather get him steady, couldn't be bothered to tie dogs up at every holding bury. agree'd, but i was just saying if he cant get him steady and the dog marks its an option

  11. im soft myself and i only have 1 none worker. but anymore and i'd have "get rid" but with that kind of attitude how do you manage to hunt? because when i hunt i deny living creatures the right to live! sorry if im ruining a thread im just curious ATB Baz Think Dave has said before he does not work his ferrets Barry. but im assuming he hunts tho Not sure, now you have me thinkng mr suspicious! you see my point now then lol

  15. this got got dangerous a long time ago and this is a way a showing the truth.       i think ive been converted mate so mite have to buy myself a rod and reel. i also caught a small barracuda aswell in the mangrove

  20. hi ive just bought a focus estate and im wanting to kit the boot out for the dog, ive had a little look on ebay for stuff but was wondering if anybody knew a place that sells the boot stuff with hunting in mind. ATB Baz
  21. Like I say. Bury the ring slightly so it holds to the dirt while the sliding ring purses the net, will work in either direction, both back netting and "normal" netting, so instead of having to pick, you can have both reasons rolled into one, and bag EVEN more bunnies. As well as the above reason, burying the ring allows the ferrets to pass through the purse net without disturbing it as much, assuming the ferret can actually fit through the mesh.
