    LR 9 or 14... motorbike battery in a strap made from a seat belt, with a silent switch and an inner tube around the lens to reduce the wings of the beam ! if you were somewhere you shouldn't be you didn't want to shine into someone's bedroom window from 3/4 mile away at 3 am ha ha . I remember having my first yuasa dry cell battery it was revolutionary ...no more burnt clothes or left leg. I still use the same LR 9 now after 30 odd years...I had it confiscated once but I got it back it`s still got the inner tube on it but I've been through loads of switches and leads, if that lamp could

    My youngest boy and his mate packed his car with lamp, batteries, food, clothes ,lurchers in the back and rearing to go ! they typed the post code into his smart phone and phoned the farmer to let him know they were on their way... happy days ! They phoned me 30 minutes later to tell me they were lost ha ha It made me wonder how did we manage to find farms all over the country without technology !!

    I still use an LR 9 to be honest, my boy has got a striker but I don't like it ,my LR is a lot more subtle ha ha

    I`m 48 next week and I still think I can carry 25 rabbits in an echo bag knee deep in ploughed fields with my LR 9 and battery acid burning through my joking barbour and warming my leg up !! I`m worn out just reading that back ha ha !!

    Always remember when your looking for a stud it`s just as important to vet the owner (if you don`t know them or know of them )
