Pups coming on strong ,5 weeks old today.

LR6 LR 9 LR14 still using the LR9 now after over 30 years , I have never wanted a lamp that will light up the fields and in to the farmers bedroom 10 miles away :thumbs:

For me the collie infusion represents Stamina ,intelligence, good feet and coat and temperament . The greyhound for obvious reasons, after being a die hard collie greyhound man for years I tried a bull cross stud a few years back and I was very happy with the pups, so much that I have got a litter here out of a very similar bred stud. My 1st cross bitch is too intelligent sometimes and the little bit of bull x seems to cancel a bit of that out. Photos of my bitch and a few pups from the last litter.

I can honestly say I do very little retrieving training with my pups . I believe that if a young dog is taught to listen, has a good bond with you and has nothing to fear from you he will retrieve to please you. I never use treats with any age dog I just don't believe in them .... I start a pup to rabbits at around 12 / 14 months old letting the pup watch an experienced dog at work for a few nights . I will pick an easy rabbit for the pup and walk away from anyone I am with so the pup hasn't got to return to another person and a snapping dog . I don't whistle or shout and I keep things calm

what ever your quarry the field craft is a major factor for me ....get your dogs as fit as you can ,get to a spot and use them for what they were bread for. Take your quarry and move on with total respect for the land owners and the quarry itself. A true dog man is a true conservationist . I didn't have a favourite quarry pre ban ...I loved the excitement ,the challenge, and the banter on a Sunday night in the local with the dog boys telling the stories of the night before or the same morning. I miss those days , these days in my local you are a cruel fxcker if you have lurchers and unless y

No mate ...same dam different sire with similar breeding to the sire I used in 2012. Sorry mate I didn't really understand your question , I can see what you mean now..... The last pups were a mixture of racey and heavier built pups and they all turned out to be very good fair play. I will keep a bitch pup back from this litter to replace her mother when the time comes. I was hoping for a smaller litter to be honest but she had 8. The last litter were all booked before they were a month old so fingers crossed . Thanks for the interest .

Hi mate dam 1st cross collie greyhound sire collie greyhound x bull x lurcher . I don't do fractions sorry mate I just know what I like and I know these pups wont disappoint me. Which do you mean" two dogs that nick " ? and do you mean the pups in this litter look racier ?

The pup that I kept back is doing well and is a pleasure to own and the bitch we keep back will be bread with him when the time comes that we need a pup. Thanks for the comments

I have always wanted to put a full coursing greyhound on a first cross collie grey.... but after introducing a tad of bull with the last mating and being so happy with the way the pups turned out ... 5 of the 6 going with local owners I had to look for a similar stud .
