Spot on

Seen it but it still does not change the fact that the Dan the mod on there was the one that assured me Boadacia puppy farm was the best place to buy a pup.Take a look why this post was started.I wont be logging on again if thats the sort of thing admin like to bury under the carpet. Then there are posts about know faults in some of the dogs on there that have been closed. All very "nicey nicey, pritty pikkies" but get serious, I like to know the truth and you do not get it there. I wouldnt have a plummer if you paid me after seeing what i've seen now. Qwe... well i must say that your

Well I have 6 and thats to many . They work well for me and pack well and i reckon would work fox as well as any plummer that lived given the right opotunity but I aint no digging man never have been (done my bit mind in my silly early years) ....as i dont like hard work! I prefer to see a dog work its nose and mine do that extermely well...and having whiped in and followed beagle packs for sometime i can say they (mine) are nearly as good. Im fulltime outside worker on the river 24/7 and am lucky enough. Soem breeders are weekenders and breed for money. Anyone who wants to know

Toka keep the articles coming ..the best bit of publicity the breeds had for ages! The waiting list for pups is extremely healthy now... thats mainly down to you according to the phone calls.

yep ur right (sometimes i type to fast!) sid was a rocky virgao as was his sister alice. Yer rocky alice was a staple output back then..hence my slip up. I had a double rocky bred bitch didnt rate it much was hyper in kennels as well (and im sure it was slightly blind to the sides) I bought it in after loosing my rocky firebird bitch to ground. So then went and bought in anorther older rocky firebird bitch to start again with!

Been asked to put up even though I've shut up!!! This is the one I have left. IMO a reasonable example of the breed. Good strong head, not tri, docked. Brilliant pet, highly obedient, good ratter, good retriever of fur and feather, works to ground but will never be a world beater. and his sister wyremead maddy

Yep and heres a couple of my pets too. WYREMEAD SAMAINE (BITCH LEFT) AND TUCO (RIGHT) WYREMEAD PENTHIA AT FMWT SHOW AND HER GGG GRANDAM EIRE (AN OLD PIC) AGAIN ALL PETS !

A plummer (or any other dog for that matter) would not fit up the average arse. Do you not do biology lessons at school? May i suggest that you ask your teacher to show you the human anatomy to illustrate why? If not then try to shove your well hard bull/lakeland/fell/all of the above, up your own arse and you will probably notice that it is not physically possible. Now stop being so silly. For those interested there is an add in the countrymans weeky selling plummer pups in the manchester area. Nobodys interested as the breeder aint trust worthy! hence they have to sel

A nice man and unasumeing . He worked his terriers on my beat of the river wyre here in sunny lancashire for the kendal and district otter hounds back along time ago. many on here could learn alot form hiom. But then again you lot seem to know it all anyway

The only thing Syd had going for him as a stud?? how do you know if he wasn't used on plummers? WELL MOST BREEDERS OF ANY BREED EVALUTE THE STUD FIRST BY PHYSICAL ATRIBUTES.HE HAD FEW I KNEW THIS AS I HAD HIM IN KENNELS FOR A WHILE Also,re vandal-he,like Syd, was not registered by choice. TRUE On good authority,i believe he was registered, long after the book closed, YES SEE ABOVE at the request of the PTA. BUT NOT ON THE REQUEST OF THE PTA I KNOW FOR IT WAS I AS REGISTRAR WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE TO DERECK AND IT WAS I WHO APPROACHED THE COMMITTEE I CERTAINLY DID'NT DO A

Didnt do stevies dog charlie any harm ....being as his dam was just 16month old and sire 4 year old and both never entered to fox. Infact i could go back further still..but that wouldnt help the matter. What i would say that 18 years ago if we hand'nt have bred from untested dogs then the breed would be dead now. One of the most famous plummers sid (rocky alice) eneterd by brian nuttal for paul flack served with 2 hunts dug more than any hunt terriers with both those 2 hunts sereved nothing but russelles.Yet another waste. Syd wasn't used at stud to plummers because he was shat

Great earth dogs are more likely to come from great earth dogs. But if your after a ratting dog I suppose that doesn’t matter. As I said in my other posts this isn’t intended to be a slaging match because I think all people involved in field sports should support each other even if they have a difference of opinion. Good luck to you. Any old dog ? Not at all mate Well ive managed over 10 generations so far without a decline in working ability ...speaks for itself I feel. As for ratting dont do any now, for at least 13 years, before which i hunted every night for 4 years and

I think if my Charlie was still alive he would've improved the breeds reputation, I've no doubt about that. Especially as I'm now lucky enough to be out three to four times a week. As an allrounder you not find IMO a better breed. That pup looks strong, what a corker. Would've found it hard to turn that one down. But as they've got popular the price has risen the same as the Border prices did. Yes you are lucky (and so am i) for such work but like i said its a tiny fraction of the terrier lads who are so. And with no disrepect to you stevie ...we are now a dog down who didnt pass on

Well thats a shame its lads in your line or work Stevie that could show the world how good they really are. With 1000 registred in over 20 years half of wich are dead no doubt leaving 500. im sure there are some not so good ..and I know there are some superb earth dogs. But i doubt its the dogs as you say thats the problem its the marketing as an all rounder that hinders the title earth dog. 20 plus years ago many used them for earth work myseldf included but even back then the limits of finding earth work without risks of prosecution were hard. After answering the phone fo
