  3. The Gilford Club organizes the Lurcher & Terrier events for the Countryside Festival regardles the location, It was in Borris the past few years & this year it happens to be in Limavady. Cheers Ian

  6. We are pleased to announce that this years events will be sponsored by Charlie Keenan & Hunter Wellies. We would like to thank the above sponsors for their support. The show will start straight after the racing final with four rings for the Lurcher,Whippet,Terrier & Strong Dogs. And we hope with the extra class in the Strong Dog ring results in a good turn out for this breed as there is not many oppurtunitys for Strong Dog handlers to show their dogs in the showing calender.

After a more detailed look at our new venue we can now accomadate simulated racing and the following rules will apply. .Dogs must complete the two jumps .Dogs that do not complete the two jumps will be disqualified .All dogs must be muzzled .Dogs must be seen to be chasing the lure .All dogs will be measured Entrys taken between 10.00am & 11.00am with racing to commence at 11.30.

Further update for our show: Whereas many other years the circumstances would not allow, we are very thankful and pleased to announce that our show this year will be located right in the heart of the Game Fair. The grounds that have been provided to us are simply outstanding, and are no doubt the best yet. There will be free purpose made ringside parking facilities exclusively for Dog Show participants, (signs need to be followed to ensure you take advantage of this). We would like to take this opportunity to thank the NI Countryside Festival Team who have made every effort to ensure that
  11. After looking at our racing event we have decided to add the following two class's to this years racing calender .Pup Racing .Rogue The winner of the Pup racing will not qaulify for the overall racing final.
  12. If you visit Northern Ireland Countryside Fesitval's website you will find more information regarding the entry fee,but i do think it's £12 per adult with kids free.As regards parking there will be ringside parking at the Lurcher & Terrier events.

  15. This is the same Lurcher & Terrier events that has been previously held at Moira,the main Game Fair has been re-located 2 mile's away to the Maze on the Moira / Lisburn road.

The above club will hold it's annual Lurcher & Terrier Events at the Re-Located National Country Sports Fair. .The above Game Fair has been moved from Moira to the Maze with the following events will take place. .Terrier Show .Lurcher Show .Whippet Show .Strong Dog Show .Lurcher ,Whippet & Terrier Racing. .Top Judges & Prizes On The Day. .

We would like to say thanks to everyone who attended our show which was a great days racing & showing, It was good to get catching up with a lot of folk whom i hav'nt seen in a while and the crack was good. A big well done to all the class winners and congratulations to the Lurcher,Terrier & Whippet Champions whom went home with top prizes.
