I personally think it's good to see Irish Judge's at our show's and i have witnessed Rose judging in the past and i would have no problem having her judge any of my working Lurchers.....Good choice in my opinion ..as is Kieran -

I personally like to give them a head start ( depending on the size of the fields as to many yards) as it's a sport at the end of the day. We cant class this as a sport if we don't give it a "sporting chance"

Had a collie greyhound dog,he was good at rabbits on the lamp but useless at daytime on a hare would've stopped at a hedge or a gate and was useless at a fox -

I only got to one show in the south last year it was Timmy and Paddy's Rathbeggen show & i thought it had a great turnout for only its 2nd year and also thought the Lurcher judge done very well,this show is def one to put into the calander for this year.. -

Had a great day at the show yesterday ,it was well worth the 2 hour drive down & the kids loved the play area beside the show ,i think it's a great venue for a dog show & have to agree that this show will grow each year..Well done lad's as everyone knows it's not easy getting a show up & running it was good to see it well supported. -

Thanks for your reply here & also your phone call,but im still none the wiser as to these "issues" surrounding Ballinlough Lurcher & Terrier events as no one has actually made contact to voice their "concerns",& i can understand your reason not to pursue this thread any further as your like myself you probably have more important things to be getting on with in your life at present. It's beyond me as why we all can't support each others shows during the summer months when we are not working our dogs and enjoy the day out with a bit of crack & a yarn about the previous w -

Dont think thats the issue Brian, people are missing the whole point regarding this thread, pm sent. Irish Lurcher I have just seen that you have sent a pm to a reader of this forum regarding some issues surrounding this years show.I have been organising the Lurcher & Terrier events for this Game Fair for the past 14 years and have never experienced such bad public slagging as i have seen this year after both The Moira & Ballinlough shows. I am very curious as why this is happening because we have been using the same process in terms of picking judge's from working -

hi we havent desided yet who will be juding.. have a few people in mind.. Just out of curiosity,why must all dogs be muzzled? You could find that this might put a lot of doggy men of if they have to go out and buy muzzles to get in. in the racing ya plank. Fair dues,sounds about right Good luck with your show, hopefully will be able to attend..If the Spainard gets outa his weekly saturday sunbed appointment early we should make it -
